I think Pavlik by 8th round KO/TKO. It will be good fight till then, but Pavlik's youth and power will lead the way.

I agree with concensus. Pavlik wins by UD. I doubt it will happen, but I will be very impressed with Pavlik if he knocks Bernard out.

Just as an fyi, in case anyone wants to take this into consideration for their pick.
Pavlik is nursing an injured left elbow. He injured it during sparring.
Thankfully it's not his right elbow, because his right, is his moneymaker.![]()

pavlik by decision. i just cant see hopkins getting stopped.

Yeah, I know both are critical, but I just think it would have been worse if it was his right elbow.
He clashed elbows with Byron Mitchell 10 days ago. He's wearing a protective sleeve right now, but they think that he should be okay by fight time.
But only time will tell I guess.

where did you hear this awful news diane, i must know![]()

He'll be fine... they'll nurse it along to the best it can get prior to fight time and inject it with pain killers prior to the fight. He or us will not know the difference.

I have to point this out:
Kellys power is untested at 170lbs, he looked far from devastating at 166! Hopkins has never remotely been close to being stopped. Too many intangibles involved for me. If Pavlik wins its by close dec.
I will also point out thus far their are 24 people on this forum who really need to watch boxing more or get off Pavliks nuts.
Fighting Hopkins at 170lbs may well be too much for Kelly to prodict a stoppage is 1, Brave or 2, Foolhardy.
