For a slick boxer Mijares gets hit a lot... that's something you want to avoid against a puncher like Vic! Add in the fact that he can't punch then its gonna be hard to keep Darchinyan off!

I remember Mick saying that Kirilov would be one guy to give Mijares problems. Then when Vic destroyed Dimitri & made him look like his nickname (The Baby) Mick comes out & says that it wasn't the old Kirilov.

Well Mick you better hope the best Mijares hows up cause if Kawashima can hurt your man & Navarro can connect cleanly then you sure as hell know Vics gonna!!!

Mijares get's hit but look at the guys who have made contact with him.
They are fighters with fast hands the ones who don't have fast hands hardly touch him.
Vics not know for speed, Mijares will be able to bob & weave and make him miss. I can def. see Vic landing a shot here and there but it wont go past that. Mijares at his best is something special.
Mijares needs to fight his fight and do his work in the gym.

Your right Galaxy I did say that about Kirilov that was last year when Kirilov was actually fighting at his best since then he's look FAAAAR from what he once was in the ring when he was active and in shape... Fighting once in 2006 and once in 2007 wont do you well.

But anyways what I do see here is and I'll say it again Mijares will soundly and very convincingly beat Vic. The fight will be very similar to the Arce fight.

Did I tell you I might attend this fight depending on how good of a card they can put together?

It would be a great fight to attend if as you say the undercard stacks up.

A lot of people thought Cotto was something special & look what Margarito did to him! I'm not comparing Vic & Tony just stating a fact that 'that is why they fight the fights.'

Sure Mijares will be the favorite but you've already seen numerous upsets this year to support that statement.

I'll be supporting Vic cause like you I back my favs even if they are up against it...

Outstanding observation. Navarro did get to him quite a bit.

I haven't been able to watch much of either fighter but from what I gather it'll be an example of the old adage: at the top level great boxing beats great brawling. I've watched Vic a few times and I'm really unimpressed with his rush in and flurry style. It seems if you can move and time your jab for 12 rounds there's not much to him.

Fighters with experience like Vic has don't know how to fight discouraged. They haven't been in the ring where the A plan doesn't work and they don't have a B plan. I'm guessing it'll look like the Arce Mijares fight where the puncher never gets going and hangs on for a decision loss.

It was Vic's most impressive win last time out against Kirolov, Mijares is a different kind of fish and will be hard to catch. Mijares will win a wide UD here with Vic's only chance a puncher's one, anything can happen in boxing but i doubt Mijares let's him tee off enough to cause him any real threat. Mijares will be watchful but he is to slick a boxer for Vic.

Well i do not know much about these fighters but i would like to see Mijares to get hit by a bomb by Darchinyan and knocked out. Just to see what people be saying the next day like he has no skill and he just got a lucky shot like he always does i think it be a good read.

I don't think any of us here would say 'Vic lands a lucky shot' he has every chance of landing a big shot and taking Mijares out, i think Mijares knows this and he will be slick enough and clever enough to avoid it happening. Vic is good, no doubt and he is probably the biggest hitter in this division, it's just that he also gets hit frequently, his style is ugly and awkward, he is not easy to watch sometimes. Mijares is top class and should have the answers, if Vic should win i will be the first to congratulate him. At the same time i would not be surprised if Mijares embarrasses him.

    Darchinyan vows KO!
By Ray Wheatley -- World of Boxing
IBF super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan is confident he will knock out WBA/WBC super flyweight champion Cristian Mijares when they do battle on November 1st at the Home Depot Centre in Carson, California. "I promise I will knock him out," Darchinyan said. "I've said that many times before big fights, [Luis] Maldonado, Irene Pacheco, [Dimitri] Kirilov - I knocked them out. When I promise I will knock someone out, I keep my promise." Darchinyan continued, "Of course it was my dream to become undisputed champion. I'm not saying if I win, I'm saying when I win this fight - after that, I will become one of the greatest fighters from Australia. I love that idea, and I want to become one of the greatest fighters in the history of boxing. [Mijares] is a smart fighter, a good fighter, but when I catch him with my punch, it won't be like in his other fights." Darchinyan is managed by Elias Nasser and lives in Sydney, Australia. He represented Armenia at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and turned professional under the guidance of Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech. He captured the IBF flyweight title by defeatiing Irene Pacheco and lost it to Nonito Donaire.

What an ass clown ... When I promise a KO I get the KO...
Yeaaahhh!! Uuuuummmm.. There is the Nonito fight.
