I've had blood sausage before, don't know what was it in besides blood and pig parts, it was good, things like that don't bother me honestly.
Is it chocolate at all? That might explain the black color. I despise chocolate.
I don't know, its probably one of those things that you don't want to know exactly what's in it but honestly it was good shit.
I guess I have my limits though, saw this show where this Scottish butcher was making haggis and I almost vomited. I mean its all these nasty animal parts and then they add oatmeal to it, strangely enough that's what got me more than the animal parts, I fucking hate oatmeal and it just seemed like going too far. Then they cook it in intestines, which again doesn't bother me as much as the oatmeal part.
Haha I can see how you hate oatmeal, there are some days where the texture just makes me want to throw up. Like right now I couldn't possibly eat oatmeal. But I love that maltomeal stuff I mix in jelly with it it's great. I feel like a peasant eating pourage everytime I eat it though but it's great stoner food if you need to fill up.
My mom occasionally makes chorizo from a recipe that is like 5 generations old now. Anyways, she actually makes it with some special type of meat then has a thing that pumps the sausage stuff into casings. The old recipe called for it to be cased in intenstine, but when she actually got the intestine it smelled soooooo bad when the box opened. And it tasted no different![]()
Yea I'd try that. Not too many foods I don't like, or would be afraid to atleast try. Not too long ago I was at a freindsplace during his families reunion. They are italian, and had family from Sicily there. Ate octopus, squid (not deep fried either...practically raw), all sorts of other weird fish parts...and some stuff I was told to not ask, just try. lol Some of it was a bit gross, but some of the stuff was pretty good if you didn't question where it came from too much.
squid's real good IMO.
I love seafood, especially shellfish. Any of it, oysters, mussels, clams.
Lobster's probably the single greatest food there is.
Shrimp's kind of boring, I like fish but not as much as shellfish.
Fish sucks. Lobster too, so terribly average has to be the most overrated food there ever was. Callimari is good though.
I would eat lobster even if it was marinated in tea and splashed with ginseng and honey and death.
No way, lobster rocks. We started eating it and esp[ecially crab legs because of that tv show "Deadliest Catch"...and it wasn't overly expensive I don't think as we loaded up on it when it went on sale. You do get tired of it after awhile, but king crab legs, just wow. Calimari is okay...but meh, just tastes like and looks onion rings.
I've had it pulled out of the trap in Maine like an 30 minutes before it was cooked its so good. One of my first memories is my Uncle showing us how to handle a live lobster and it bit the shit out of him.
Yeah calimari is just meh, and my parents go down to Bodega Bay a lot and pick up crab off the boats from a fisherman we know and I have them sometimes. And I have had king crab too but this isn't king crab I don't think. Again, average. But eating the spiders of the sea is something strangely satisfying for me, that's serious.
