    Guys like this are the reason why boxing is in the trouble it's in.
    People have no appreciation for skill, they just want to see brawlers.
    I hate PBF, but i had to applaud everything he did in the ring because he's brilliant.

    Don't be a fan of boxing unless you can appreciate everything the sport has to offer, multiple styles and 12 round decisions included.

    THANK YOU, fucking christ its been forever to hear another wise person. I find this type of fighting the funnest to watch. It doesn't have to be a bloodfest for a fight to be great, or as a moment. This victory is the largest accomplishment IMO since Holyfield beat Tyson, or Leonard beating Hagler.

    But in those fights both tyson and hagler put up some offence. Pavlik had zip tonight.

    Amen to that... In the same vein as what the guy is saying though, you could say that every soccer match in the history of soccer is boring, but if you enjoy the whole game for what it is, not for the 1 or 2 goals a game, then you can love that sport...

    I am sometimes guilty of getting bored during certain boxing matches, but I rarely voice it because that's just the style of certain fights/fighters when put together.. And I still appreciate what they are doing in there.. Just sometimes it's not hugely entertaining.. I can honestly say though that watching Bernard at 43 fight the way he did, was entertaining and inspiring...

    I don't see how anyone can call that fight boring, it was a punch perfect demonstration of the sweet science. B Hop put on an exhibition.

    It may not have been a blood and guts war but that was the finest display of pugilism you will see this year, what Hopkins did was simply incredible.

    Seriously who would have thought that B Hop at age 43 could dominate the 17 years younger undefeated undisputed middleweight champ like that?

    I'm not sure a similar feat has ever occured in all of boxing history, maybe Taeth with his 100 fight a week experience will be able to tell me if this has ever happened before but I certainly can't remember a 43 year old ever putting on a clinic and winning every round against a prime champion.

    It will go down as one of the greatest performances in the history of boxing.

    Hopkins = fucking legend

    from round 3 onwards i knew the same thing wouldnt happen.that made it boring.and yeah i knew from theres no way pavlik cud win.it's a masterful performance.but as we saw nards style was just an absolute schooling for pavlik.wasnt even close.and for the record i will love to watch a fight between two tacticians.say the rjj and bhop fight.and mayweather too.but i didnt bought this fight to see a rising star get totally owned.
    An empty can is always noisy.
