Does anybody else hate the fanboyism that dominates the boxing talk board?

It's not so much fanboyism, it's the England/Europe/US thing, and the other various national battles, Pacman etc. It would be great if people could view the fighters not through a nationalistic prism. The fanboy stuff I can handle.

Actually most of the outspoken Calzaghe haters, TysonBruno, Dark Lord Al, ICB and LeftyLee are all British.
We are a country of patriots

It's funny because a lot of people who are countrymen of Calzaghe say "You Americans can't give our fighters any credit" when a bunch of the worst Joe haters are from the same place.

Fanatic fan boys seem to come out mainly around the big fights Like cockroaches,once the lights turn on and the show is over,they scurry away.It is a boxing forum after all,bound to be some fisticuffs.It's when it goes all button pushing and "hater this,hater that"....like a school yard,that you say why bother.As Caleoh 12 mentioned just look at the aftermath of Pac/Marquez.....that was just insane and pure crap.I actually had a sick feeling watching the front board turn into a giant litter box for many who insisted on defecating all over it.It was all you could do to not become what you disliked in others and start throwing bombs.Pitiful !!

It's when people insist on tearing down fighters,really ANY fighters (except of course:Tarver/Tye fields/Zahir raheem/Butterlard/Christ Martin/John Ruiz/.....ok, I kid.But really when we berate and shred fighters with so much ease and borderline enjoyment in an attempt to enhance a favorite,a real disservice is done to both.Excuses are a dime a dozen and prevalent when things do not go a fighters way.You have to be consistent.Just try this one day,and call me naive....."Hey,I was wrong"!!Nice change of pace sometimes although that certainly would shut down the discussions huh?

Also,the worst are the f!!!!!g Spammers coming out....they should be hunted down and run over with a bus.
