I think I see your logic.

I wish more people would stick around my club.
I've had atleast 20 or 30 friends over the last 2 years come thru, and as of today, not one of them has stuck it out.
A few I think would have been great.
About 1/2 of that 20 or 30 would atleast be very good.
But all of them I think would be better off if they actually got past the initial awkwardness and fear of learning something new, and the hard work surrounding it.
But this sport isn't for everyone, as much as I feel most everyone could benefit from it.
The first question could be, why are you here mate, (whats your ultimate goal)?
Take them to it and remind them of it later when they start to slip.
Some wont have the balls for greatness in the sport and others wont have a chin but may be smart as a fox and not get hit square .
But not all people are there for ours or their own glory anyway and eventually you have to be honest both with them and yourself. Of course trainers want the best fighters in their camp but really the reasons for fighters being there are vast and you owe it to them to give them your best and give what you expect back anyway.
