Pavlik wanted to make as much money as he could, thus he agreed to move up in weight to fight Hopkins. B-Hop took him to school, winning every round in one of the most impressive performances I have ever seen, now he should have to make concessions to fight a rematch? It doesn't make any sense. A rematch should be out of the question at any weight, the only thing Hopkins didn't do to Pavlik was stop him. If you're a fan of his, you should want him to stay far away from B-Hop.
why would hopkins want a rematch

And if that doesn't work, my grandmother adds..."Hey Kelly. I am 68 and have a pin in my hip. I too have better lateral movement then you. We hope you'll consider working on that."
Thank you.
The difference is Hopkins was calling out Roy seven years after the first fight and was clearly a much improved fighter with a solid chance to win. Pavlik needs to reestablish himself and show some improvement before a rematch is palatable. And, of course, by that time Hopkins will probably be retired.
Pavlik is in no position to ask to even carry Bernard's spit bucket.
