Why should Hopkins have to make concessions to rematch a guy against whom he won every round against?

I think that was Roy Jones' argument when he first started stomping for a rematch.

The difference is Hopkins was calling out Roy seven years after the first fight and was clearly a much improved fighter with a solid chance to win. Pavlik needs to reestablish himself and show some improvement before a rematch is palatable. And, of course, by that time Hopkins will probably be retired.
