Alright which one of you signed up? I know CFH and I are in the fantasy league, I sent out 3 other invites and got one response. I need one more person to play.

    We can do an autodraft.

All my team needs is offense. Though if Sundin actually signs in Van, which he won't, that problem will be solved.

You can select the order in which you would like the players to be drafted.

I've been watching quite a few NHL-games these past weeks. Horrible schedule time-wise (here from Europe), but definitely something I could get fully hooked on. At least in times like these, where I'm really suposed to study and writing essays, but tend to do all sorts of other things to avoid doing so.

Anyway, it helps as well to see no less than three Danish players doing well, with Jannik Hansen, Frans Nielsen and Mikkel Bødker all on 7 points. Not spectacular by any means yet, but good enough to see two Danes on the rookie top 10 in scoring, and Nielsen is imo one of the best on his (terrible) Islanders-team too. Bødker is the best goalscorer currently the best forward out of his draft year, tied for 2nd at Coyotes in goals, and definitely living up to his top10-status. This guy will be the real deal!

Considering that coming into the season Nielsen had 5 points in 30-something games, and Hansen 1 point in 5 games and that was the entire total of Danish NHL-output, this is a pretty amazing improvement!

Oh, and while my NHL-watching is still in it's infancy, I'm still kind of shopping around for a team to really follow. Any suggestions? At this point I'm leaning towards the Canucks though, if only they could start playing at a more reasonable time! (When trying to maintain a normal working schedule, it's a bit easier to catch a period or two of the Eastern teams starting at 1am, than of the pacific teams playing at 4am local time). Luongo is the man though, and I am kinda hooked on that 3rd line, too. Not only for the obvious reasons either.

Thanks! I have been watching hockey on and off for many years, but never particularly enthusiastic, and never actually NHL-hockey (more like worlds, Olympics and that stuff). Timing and availability probably the main culprits on that one. But as I said, I've started to watch, and I'm getting hooked. Danish progress and having lived a year in Finland (still with Finnish girlfriend) has helped peaked the interest, I guess.

Football however - that I have followed closely since I was like 3. Still do, obviously, and no sport (not even boxing) can really come close to its biggest nights.

Finally there is absolutely no way the Canucks can be worse than Liverpool btw. And if I am not mistaken the Maple Leafs aren't really that good at the moment either, eh?

1st in the division with the best goalie in the world.

The Leafs even fail at sucking, you guys were supposedly tanking for a top 5 pick, and look at ya, wallowing in the middle of the pack yet again; you'll end up missing the playoffs and getting a 10-15 pick. Though, from what I've seen, your young players are looking pretty good.

I'm looking for a football (soccer) team to cheer for, I'm just getting into it. I think I'll pick Newcastle because I love Newcastle Brown Ale.

Everyone hates the Leafs, they're like the Antonio Tarver of hockey, except with less success.

Jannik (sp) Hansen has been great for the Canucks, he's complimented Kessler and Burrows on our best line. He's due back from injury soon, should slide right back into his role once he gets back.

The Leafs havent been good since the salary cap came in. They are rebuilding and working towards turning it around. But if/when they win it will be unlike anything else in sports.

When they are good its complete pandamonioum in Ontario and all of Canada for that matter. Its nuts here now and they arent even very good. People can say what they will about the Leafs, but we are the best fans in Hockey bar none and this can not be argued.

No wonder you didnt like hockey before if all you were watching was international garbage..lol. We call it pussy hockey here.

Enjoy, and welcome to the greatest sport in the world and its not even close imo.
