My list is clearly the most sensible. When it comes to p4p rankings I don't have favourites or go on personal preference I make a strictly objective assessment of each fighter's records and performances.

My list would probably be 90% accurate to what the Ring Magazine would say themselves.

Basically everyone has the names just in a slightly different order. There's no right or wrong.

If you're basing fighters primarily on their record, current opposition and perormance.. then explain how Mijares rates above Hatton?

Oh man you all know I hate Mijares please don't put me in a position where I have to defend him

I'll be honest when it comes Mijares record I'm going with popular opinion.

Apparently beating Munoz was a big win as was Arce.

But I do agree with you. I mean he hasn't even beaten the best in his division yet, Montiel, Darchinyan and Donaire so it's probably premature to put him as high as 7.

You know what, fuck him, drop him down to whereever you see fit and move Hatton up a bit.

Hatton is still borderline p4p imo, getting KO'd by Floyd seemed to result in everyone writing him off though but to be fair he's beaten everyone else.

So drop Mijares down say 3 or 4 places and push Hatton up a couple.

The thing is.. Mijares is currently in most peoples top 10. Fine. But it must ONLY be based on the belief that he has a far superior SKILL level to a guy like Hatton. If you base their standing on the quality of opposition faced, then Hatton has faced the far superior around his weight-class, with his only loss coming to an all-time-great.

Mijares last five fights contain a couple of journeymen and two fighters rated top 10 by The Ring.

Hatton's last five have ALL been rated top 10 by The Ring.

Therefore.. Hatton is/has consistently faced the far tougher, higher rated competition around his weight-class compared with Mirjares.

To be honest i know nothing of Mijares but by the look of his record. He should not be above Cotto, Pavlik, Hatton and even i say Williams. I hope that Darchinyan knocks him out but i while have to wait and see should be a good fight form what i have heard so i guess i while have to wait.

    Too true

How many world class opponents have the likes of mijares/calderon/lopez etc truly been in with??

Always been a believer in "your only as good as the man you beat" and on that basis the likes of hatton, abraham, wright, cotto all steal a march on these very low weight fighters??

How many world class american/european 120pounders have their been over the last 10/20 years??

I suspect due to the way we are physically different to the likes of our south american/asian counterparts you could probably count them on one hand!!!
    one dangerous horrible bloke
