Default Okk thenn.. This is the Paulie Debate

    The Paulie fight...

    Not good was it?

.. But a robbery? That it was nott.. I had paulie winning 6 rounds and missed the first round.. So at least a draw..

    But i like peoples reactions..

JT my man.. Flies of the handle, Its a robbery, its bullshitt :P Nerr dude.. You hate pauliee

People make wise cracks bcos they dont like paulie and are quite happy he had a tough night.. - Gamo

Lol..And Hulkk.. Great guyy but every mention of malignaggi's name its, feather fisted, malibu looking, slick haired powderpuffedd greaseball fwockerrr..

Lol.. That goes for lyle and Fenster too.. Lol.. That bias on a guy you just dislike.. :P

go on and hit me with this line any one of you

    * So and So* .. Is my favourite fighter and he never had a tough night or was in a shady decision or didnt have aspects about him that other fight fans would dislike...

One thing about this fight was one wild scorecard.. A misjustice to the fight

    But barrera - Marquez

A great close fight.. all three scores almost a whitewash

in a fight that I and MANY though that he haD WON!!.. But nobody took anything away from marquez Cos he fought well and it was close but the scores screwed the night and took away credibility to his victory..

So am i right.. S'bias against the magic man..

I don't think it was a robbery it was a fight that could of gone either way, i think a draw would of been acceptable i believe i had Paulie ahead by 1 round. But i still think Paulie is a good fighter, im not one to kick someone when there down. I still think he has good skills, quick hands, slickness etc.

As for Marquez vs Barrera that is totally different considering the opposition, and actually a lot more people had Marquez winning the fight, i believe i had the fight a draw. With the point deduction in the 7th making it 2 point round for Marquez, it was quite hard to give the fight to Barrera and if anyone did it was by no more than 1 point.

But anyway back on the Paulie subject i think for his next fight he should fight Rees, Paulie could easily beat the limited Rees. Plus he would get a title and more importantly some confidence back.

I think the barrera marquez level of opposition is a fair comment..

But going to fight rees would be a mistake in my opinion.. A tough night then going backwards like that imo would attract more nay sayers and haters..

Either a rematch or another tough fight to look good in would be ideal..Although he might get lumped with Ndou rematch

But yea.. Rees is an inbetween fight for any champion or a title for a prospect coming up..

Anyone who rees fights is taking that title

I actually think Rees would be a good choice of opponent personally mate. Because its an easy nights work for Paulie plus he adds another title to his collection plus he gets confidence back, he should stay well clear of Witter, Hatton, and even Torres who is much too dangerous at the moment with his punching power. I think Paulie should rematch Ngoudjo after he fights Rees, but Ngoudjo is better than people think. He lost a close disputed decision to Castillo, and is a tough fight for anyone at 140 IMO. Yes i did think Paulie would have an easier nights work with Ngoudjo i predicted the scorecards as 117-111, 116-112, 116-112. But im willing to give Paulie another chance he has the skills to trouble anyone at 140.

For me the fight was nowhere in the robbery neighbourhood. If anything the fight reinforced peoles view that Malignaggi is a boxer who - although not possessing any great strength himself, can withstand severe punishment and adversity and still complete the fight to win.

Hey how many times do I have to tell you, just cause I call Powderpuff Powderpuff doesn't mean I don't rate him.

Although I did think Powderpuff lost the fight. And I did want Powderpuff to lose the fight. But I don't begrudge Powderpuff the win - it was tight.

And I told you Powderpuff is below Witter.

    It wasn't a robbery.

    It was a close fight

My gripe was and still is with the judge who scored it 9 rounds to 3 in Paulie's favour.

Well I agree it wasn't a robbery but if you are claiming to be the best in your weight class then you should be able to beat guys like NGoudjo.

It was an off night, he looked much better against N'dou and of course put on a great showing against Cotto so I'm not about to write him off completely.

I don't understand the comparison to the Barrera Marquez fight though. The reason people didn't slate Marquez after that win was because Barrera was the Ring recognised superfeather weight champ at the time and a boxing legend.

Having a close and competitive fight with one of the best p4p fighters in the sport merits a wholly different response to having a close and competitive fight with a club fighter who only got the title shot himself because he was awarded a gift win in his hometown the fight prior.

I agree with the masses...The fight was not a robbery...a bad decision yes...robbery no....I am also not going to blast Paulie on his performance...It was disappointing to say the least but...not the norm for Malignaggi...everyone can have an off night....now if this becomes habit or something even in his next fight then I guess it is time to question if Malignaggi has already peaked then started his decline....as For Herman....he will be back..lets hope this did not dampen his spirits....I see some big fights in the future for him....

To me it's all in perception...the last casa fight was a robbery, paulie was given the champs benifit of the doubt although some of the scores were really strange. Paulie won but looked no where as great as most thought he would. Herman also has a ton to do with it. I dont think paulie lost at all. But he didn't win the way expected.

Hey, I am allowed to not like the guy.....I never mentioned anything about the fight as I didn't watch it and therefore had no room to call for the heads of the judges.

I dislike Paulie but I am realistic about his style and his ability as a fighter. He can take a tough punch, he cannot give one, he had 5 KO's and said he would stop Miguel Cotto....chinny or not he never had a chance of stopping Cotto.

    Paulie reminds me of this....
