Anybody here ever been to JAIL before?

I got 2 suspensions and 1 first strike towards a crimimal charge this past September, my first month in high school.

Why is that Youngblood?

Your temprement on the forum never strikes me as being prone to sudden outbursts or anything.

I hit a couple of people in high school - although it was long before i did any sort of training so they were panzy shots that i'm a bit embarassed about now!

Ironically i did it right on front of a teacher once and didn't get in trouble at all because basically she was a bitch - but she never picked on me again.

The cliques that can form in high schools can easily just get out of control and i think whether or not you get punished for something like that should take into account how far you're pushed by the people who end up recieving it.

I did get plenty of detentions for boring stuff like not having my diary signed though.

Sharla,youd be amazed at how fast you can get in school suspension here in the states,it seems like I spent all of junior and senior high school there.
Ok,one time I did earn it, but it was funny why it happened.
I had a geography teacher that would have put a zombie to sleep. I mean he took a subject I was understanding easily, and made me not care. This was back when kids still collected baseball cards for no other reason but to have them(long back story,aint it?).
I got bored in class and started sneaking peaks at my cards trying to figure out who Id trade at lunch.
He took the stack of them when he caught me. Now if he'd just have given them back at the end of class, no problem,Id honestly have said he was right in hindsight. But he said I wasnt ever getting them back.
Thats when I called him an f-ing thief in the hall,right when classes where changing.
Even while the vice principle was suspending me he couldnt stop from laughing.
"Paul,Paul Paul,you cant tell a teacher to go f themselves"
"I didnt say that sir"
"Well what did you say?"
"I called him an F-ing thief"
........................
pause,under the breathe chuckle that he thought I didnt see
"Okay...regardless....................."
Meh,it was worth it in hindsight

I've never heard of anyone getting suspended just for swearing here that's for sure. I think here it's one step before being completely expelled though - detentions are for everything else I guess.

It may vary a bit depending on where you go - in the remote country area school I went to as a kid there were some boys who'd get the beach ball bat over their arse if they were ever sent to the principle.

I think the threat of that kept most of us well behaved but I doubt it would happen anywhere in Australia now.
