OK, we lived on a mountain, there are about 5 streets up the mountain and there was so much smoke that I couldn't see past a block in any direction. It was insanity. That being said I managed to keep my cool. In fact I even played basketball in that smoke.
Rain on the otherhand just pisses me off. There is NOTHING good about rain for me it is in no way beneficial to me. I'd gladly take my chances with raging infernos then a constant drizzling of rain, making shoes slippery, socks wet, dirt mud and confining you to the indoors. It's terrible.
I finally bought an umbrella the other day, I don't know I just feel like an idiot whenever I use it though. But I guess its better than being rained on. I used that excuse to skip class a couple of times though and now I can't, I know I have an umbrella, can't lie to myself.
Do you ever bring your umbrella to class? Do you feel like your being judged at all?
I brought an umbrella once to class when I had to walk home in the rain. Except I was still a junior in high school taking classes at the JC and it just felt weird because while many in the class had umbrellas, about half probably didn't. And we walked out of the hall and this girl in the class puts her binder over her head as I was reaching for my little folded umbrella, I didn't want to hold one as she held a binder so I ended up walking all the way out to the parking lot before using my umbrella. At that point I was already soaked and people were surely wondering why I waited all that time to put the umbrella up. Then the girl drove right by me.
The awkwardness of the umbrella is to much for me to handle.
Ouma and amat discussing umbrellas.
You two are a proper couple of benders. Fact.
Hope this helps.

Well I bought it primarily for going to class, I can actually deal with it on the way home cause I know I can change when I get home so I usually go without the umbrella although it does look a bit off to be walking home in the pouring rain with an umbrella in my hand that I'm not using but its the going to class that's the problem cause I can't stand walking in soaked and having to sit there for an hour or whatever.
I'm trying to think of the word (maybe ponce, I don't use that one often but it kind of fits) but I just feel like an idiot walking around with an umbrella.
