You can say The Sun said Yank not Joe but he said Another Yank will fall at the end of episode 1 24/7. And when it comes to daft sayings i remember Bruno before fighting Tyson 2nd time he said i have a 50/50 chance against Mike and a 60/50 chance against most of the others LOL good old Frank.

It doesn't matter how he beats Roy JOnes he would earn anymore respect from me for this fight. He has way too many advantages at this point in his career compared to Roy. I don't see why a guy this heavily favored (by boxing fans not going by betting because I don't know what it is at) is expected to do anything except dominate. IMO this is like PBF against Arturo Gatti. Except the talent is reversed.

Calzaghe is 2/7 "Odds On",Jones at a good price of 5/2 and a draw is 25/1!

What time does this fight start and who will be the ref??Anyone know? Thanks

What are you talking about? Gatti had all the talent against PBF? This is seriously unintelligible drivel. Calzaghe will dominate Jones and no matter how you deny it, Calzaghe will always be better than the fighters you hold so high in lofty ideals. Calzaghe didnt lose to Antonio Tarver after all. Now stop posting like a plank.

Calzaghe certainly isn't better then a prime Hopkins, he barely "Beat" a 43 year old version of him.
He certianly isn't better then Floyd Mayweather, who p4p would destroy him, ALmost as fast as Jones, but harder to hit then Bernard HOpkins.

He certainly isn't better then PRIME Roy whom is faster, better at throwing combinations, harder to hit, and actually fought legitimate opponents for most of his career(including changing weightclasses, going up to heavyweight).

Can you read? I openly stated Cazlaghe will likely blast Jones out of there, this doesn't mean it indicates whatsoever happens in their prime. I would like to see Calzaghe actually try to outbox Roy when they fight on Saturday, maybe that is the only way I will be impressed, if he just swamps Roy with workrate then whatever. Even then Roy has lost most of his ability to counter which is the one thing except a workrate that Roy Jones in his prime would have used to dominate Calzaghe.

Also Roy handled Tarver easily in their first fight, but lets see Calzaghe go the heavyweight even agaisnt Ruiz, he would be worked over like a little boy by a Catholic priest. And when he came back down lets see how his body deals with it. Tarver said Roy was blowing shit out of his ass until he did it himself, and he looked like a ghost against Bernard.

If you actually payed attention I was comparing what PBF did to Gatti in accordance to what Calzaghe will do to JOnes, but in this case Jones is the much faster, more athletic individual. However he will still get pumelled, because at this point he isn't even in the same class as Joe.

Also MIles as a fighter I love Calzaghe, he is EXACTLY what I like in a fighter, a guy who is a good athlete who works as hard as possible to be the best fighter he can possibly be. The only two guys who didn't work as hard as I would have liked them to are Roy Jones Jr and Muhammad Ali, they both never seemed to dedicate themselves as much as they should have in some fights. All that aside Roy Jones and Muhammad Ali were still in as good if not better shape then anyone they fought.

Nothing like PBF Gatti... I think I see what you are saying in terms of talent, but nothing like that will happen here. The only similarity is one is black one is white.
Let's not forget, Jones has NEVER been taugth a boxing lesson, and that is precisely what Joe is planning to do, right?
I mean he isn't going to knock him out is he? I think Jones has a good chance. maybe 60/40 Calz wins.
Let's be fair too. Most people aren't giving him any respect. But he doesn't have anyone else to beat, does he? We'd still be crying about Kessler if he didn't take that fight, Lacy, Bika, B-Hop Cmon now.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

    - and I quote from some random guy on the internet
