    As have I, my friend...

I will attempt to be here but will be out of state... I'll see if I can get on for a half hour or so...

As I've stated in other threads, Roy is an ATG and even 5 years ago would have laid the wood to Joe IMHO...

But this version of Roy is not the same man... Baddi, Henshaw, Tito? He didn't look spectacular in any of them although he did handily beat them. If Jones honestly thinks in his heart of hearts that these guys were a setup for one of the current best P4P fighters of this decade... well, I just hope he hasn't lied to himself. He is clearly not the combonation puncher he once was... He uses right hand leads as a primary weapon and seems to lack the pop he once had... Although his speed is still pretty good, how does he intend on keeping the peddle to the floor against a whirlwind like calzaghe... Jones is not the crafty slickster that Hopkins was/is... I know he has his own bag of tricks but... I just see it being competetive early but Joe pulling away much like he did to Kessler.

I'd love to see Jones win and will be backing him fight night but I'm picking the fighter with my head not my heart...

    That being said...

    C'MON ROY!!!!

I'm gonna go on record and admit that IF Roy wins I won't be coming on, while the likes of Pride and JT are great to have a reasonable debate with, many on here WILL be talking shit. Probably won't come on even if Joe wins, as it is just after a fight people exhibit the least perspective, but if I do I'll guarantee I'll be gloat free, but considering my wobbling confidence in Joe I won't be in a position to gloat anyway.

I thik the majority of us have insulated ourselves well enough, that if Joe wins, we can say..."Yes, we knew...nice one, now let's move on. "

or if Roy wins, can say..."TOLD YOU SO ."

I'll be here. I think Joe will win this fight and no I will not talk a bunch of shit like other's do. I forget the person's name but after I predicted a Chazz Witherspoon victory over Aerreola that asshole went on a half hour after the fight and did nothing but shove that shit in my face. So in turn I wouldn't do that to anyone because it does frustrate, and aggravate you.

I have confidence(although my heart tugs in the other directin) that Joe will slap out a hard fought win. He has a chin and loads of stamina... He'd be tough for anyone to beat...

His swarming attacks, although lacking power and crispness, seem to sway judges... I really think thats what it comes down to is judging. Like when Joe fought Hop the compbox #s were just silly and it's like the judges saw the same thing... Like for every 4 or five punches Joe threw like one would land... and not flush at that. But even so I had Joe winning by a point due to his sheer outworking Hop in the later rounds.

I know we saw a resurgence of Hopkins against Pavlik but Hokins has never been KOd and has less wear and tear due to his style.

I'm just not sure how Roy intends on dealing with Joes speed and output. We've also seen in the past that Joe has no problem getting up off the canvas and fighting on at a higher level then befor he hit the mat.

I don't know.... This is a strange fight to try to predict to me. I just don't see Roy doing enough or KOing Joe...

This is how I see it as well, at first I thought Joe would win a wide decision, but now I think it's gonna be close, and if it's close it could go either way. Joe's not been hurting people for a long time, the last guy he could hurt was Lacy, and that crazy mofo was running into every one of them punches.

I hope I can come in here on Sunday and say I was wrong but I def. don't see it happening. All the props to Roy if he can pull it off cuz the way my minds eye sees it, it would be a monumental upset.

I'm still eating Hatton crow from the Mayweather fight.
