Calzaghe is a great fighter, he gets credit for that, but he fought guys way past their prime then he is. Also Bx70Ny, if you knew half as much as you think you do you would see that Joe didn't need to figure anything out, ROy didn't do anything. He landed when he threw punches as often as Joe did, but he hardly threw anything, Joe had difficulty landing cleanly for a lot of it, and he didn't prove anything with this fight except that he is pretty fast.

In fact largely Joe's whole style I don't even feel is all that much boxing, my brother who doesn't know much about boxing thought it looked like point sparring, because thats how he punches. I give him all the credit in the world for getting away with it, when I can't see anybody else getting away with it, but if thats all you have then you are in trouble agaisnt Roy Jones Jr or Hopkins or Toney in their prime.

In a a rematch Calzaghe would destroy Hopkins AND YET you would still get tools like you saying "But he didnt fight Dawson"

The version of Hopkins that showed up for the Pavlik fight is pretty damn good and I don't see anyone beating him including Calzaghe....If that version showed up

Lopve him or hate him Calzaghe won and he deserves credit for his victories but lets not get too worked up about him to the point you start sounding as stupid as his taunting looked
