According to the article Downs created the show and wasn't behind it's cancellation and was upset about it I don't think an email will do anything more then drown him in his own sorrows.

If you think that's bad HBO and Showtime might cut their budgets for 2009

I got an email back from David Downs, seems like a good guy and he gives me some hope
Dear King of all Mexicans and all around good guy and Saddo's hero...
Thanks for your feedback. I wish the decision had been mine alone to
make. We were facing declining ratings, declining advertising support,
and escalating costs. That was a very bad mix in a tough overall
economy. Having said that, we fully intend to get back into the sport
of boxing in some fashion at some point in the near future. It will
just have to be on a more fiscally responsible basis.

Dear Mr. Downs, I am extremely disappointed on hearing the news of the
cancellation of Solo Boxeo. This was one of the premier boxing shows in
the last few years. I for one tuned in every time the show was on. I beg
you to reconsider.

Well things have not changed unfortunately but I was glad to receive a call back from David Downs ,missed him while at work but left a down to earth message. That # is actually the voice mail of Ric Sicliano who in turn forwarded it over to Mr. Downs.Said they were receiving quite a bit of feedback and can fully understand displeasure.Expressed how thankful they were to their dedicated fans over the last eights years and are working on finding a permanent home for Boxing in the near future and hope to play a huge part.Said He was sorry show was taken off but again expressed that serious actions had to be taken in these serious economic times.
I'm going to miss their consistency and dedication to some truly talented up & comers as well as solid contenders.....This will be a MAJOR void that will be very hard to fill![]()
