yeah I hear you and can understand, but back on days I was fighting, if it was against a 280lbs boxer I wasn't worried at all. in fact he can't have speed and stamina I had at 230 plus they often only rely on power...which they can't do on a 4 rounders.

but ok, Valuev is something different...he's so huge that yes, he can easily win against average contender. but agaisnt a lewis, klitchko or even Chagaev (who defeated him)...I soncerely doubt.

I hear you but what i said is 280lbs is fine because they are no so huge that they cannot be beaten by a good boxer but after 280lbs they should have to go to some silly monster division because they are gaining status based soly on size not skill and that is not what boxing is about.
The heavyweight division was once watched by the whole world everyone knew who the champ was.Can you say that now, no and it is because its crap, ands its crap because people are getting by on size instead of skill.
A few people have said to me so far in this thread that a good small boxer will beat a big one well not always true because the russian cant fight and he is ranked pretty high with only one defeat but pound for pound almost all his opponants were better than him.He has to much of an advantage after 280lbs they should not be eligble to box in the heavyweight division

I miss them days as well.I agree that a bigger division would be awful so why let this crap polute the heavyweight division, let them train and get into fighting shape like the rest of us have to do and if they cant make the weight piss off because they have had it handy to long all fighter kill them selves getting in grat shape watching there weight and these slobs drag themselves to the ring beat a better man than themselves and bore the arse off the fan. They should have to make weight like every other division
