I don't have a problem with dawson, he has the potential to beat anyone out there. Floyd's comment has more to do with what people think about him than anything else lately. I met him and his family last year at arco and he is a really nice dude but not quite as floyd says....yet anyway. My only problem with him in the ring is that his punches are tooo damn straight and most of them get caught on opponets gloves usually on accident. If you block the first one you can usually block the next three, more angles and more pressure and this kid is actually pretty decent. Chad is what roy was supposed to be this weekend too fast and too strong for the guys he fought so far......he has some flaws but i don't rate chad's potential as low as some people. Joe would make him fight if he wanted to or not, but i'm not sure if that's a good thing. I'd give dawson a huge chance to win especially since he's fighting him in his 20's not right before he get's senior citizen discounts at home town buffet. Man i wish joe fought over here sooner.

I have no reason to think he is a world beater just yet but he is a good solid fighter with good skills. He is a Lacy or a Pavlik at the moment, he has not been fully tested yet.

That does not mean he has to be rushed either by the way

I feel sorry for JC re a Dawson fight, because there are already rumblings of folks wanting the fight ... if JC dont take the fight he will be accused of avoiding him, if he takes the fight and wins it will then be blamed on Dawson not being developed enough ... and if he lost, which at this moment in time I really cant see happening, his legacy gets brought into question because of one fight..........

I'd love Joe to fight Dawson just to see who people think Joe is avoiding/should fight next to prove himself etc..

I agree with you again bud Id love to see it too and tho Im a big JC fan, I really believe he would win this one pretty comfy ... and then get no credit because overnight the same folks calling Dawson the next big thing would be the first in line to be calling him a bum or like wise, that as opposed to credit where it should be due for JC..

.....lol when this stuff was happening to floyd no one cared. Now for joe it's a crime. Either way both guys have proved what they need to in my book, jones horrible slap box performance took some of the shine from joe's win but it was a win all the same, joe fighting dawson is no different. Win and it's no big deal loose and you're a piece of garbage all of the sudden. Joe like floyd will never especially in the states get the love he wants, he's getting it back home and i think he'll have to be satisfied with that, i still don't understand people wanting the approval of people they talk shit about, but he beat everyone he set out to beat pretty good career i'd say.

If he fights Dawson then the same people will want him to fight Cloud/Erdei/somebody else to prove himself. There's always going to be somebody he should fight. If he does fight again, you'll have people saying he needs to get to 50-0 to prove how great he is. I think he'd beat Dawson or anybody else out there like a gong but I'm hoping he just retires.
