Wasn't the greatest fight ever. The MAJORITY have Calzaghe as the winner. Whats the point?

The only thing they would be concerned about is the low-PPV numbers another anticipated snore-fest would return. That's why they didn't mention it.

If they WANTED Hopkins-Calzaghe 2 they would put up enough CASH to make it happen.. they wont

I don't disagree with any of that, I just think it's unfair to single out Hopkins as the sole reason HBO would not want a 2nd fight. Both fighers are underwhelming draws in the States. I don't think is has much to do with Calzaghe being a Brit, I think it's more a combination of factors.

I haven't done any research on this, but if you have fast access to the numbers, have there been any fights recently that did great PPV numbers in the US, besides DLH or Floyd? What about Pacquaio? Point being I'd be surprised if Hopkins numbers were significantly lower than many other champions, for PPV buys in the US.
