    oh man i have recorded it but cant watch it as on my virgin media boX & my wife & the kids are watching mama mia at gthe moment

    i am so looking forward to wartchin it(thrilla in manilla doc not mama mia)

    how would everyone compare this against 'when we were kings'?

    I'd say it's at least on a par with it, probably better.
    It's more boxing orientated than When We Were Kings (never could be bothered with the stuff about the music festival). This is far more insightful, with anecdotes by many who were there in Manilla, even Amelia Marcos is interviewed.

    Great Documentary..really enjoyed it and the soundtrack id top drawer without the boring festival bits of When we were kings.
    Must see.
    Fraziers left hand is absolutely deformed too

    I'm a bit behind, I had it tapped and watched it today.

    Nice that it was from mainly from Joe's perspective. I've read his autobiography and you can see why he might be a little miffed.

    I love Ali but the one thing Joe Fraiser was not was an Uncle Tom.

    He cracked me up - especially when recounting the dressing room stuff of the first fight, how he was gonna pass out
