Lewis was lucky to catch a Bruno past his best.

    Cooper fought Ali twice

Hide had aweome hand speed and power and woul have beat Lewis.

    Only joking

Form me Lewis lost twice against opponents who he shouldn't have lost to which for me will always put him further down the list than he should have been
    1. Muhammad Ali

its very difficult to build a top 10 cos you have fighters like jack dempsay who were practically super middleweights so how would he cope against a monster of a heavyweight like lennox

but here goes in no particular order

    muhammad ali
    joe frazier
    george foreman
    lennox lewis
    evander holyfield
    joe louis
    jack johnson
    mike tyson
    sonny liston
    ernie shavers

i expect some ear ache for leaving rocky marciano out
You also left out Floyd Patterson, and Larry Holmes, and considering Holmes was one win away from Marciano's unbeaten streak, but for a bad decision would have gotten it............
Also as far as those heavies being super middle weights, you could make a case that Lennox Lewis should be considered by the Olympic standard of Super Heavyweight
i posted a ittle earlier that t holmes & would swap him for either shavers or tyson, but i wouldnt put floyd in there.

lennox lewis is defo super heavy like the wlad & vitali but would definately disagree on there being another weight catagary in professional boxing

You include Ernie Shavers, but you leave off Holmes, Marciano and Ezzard Charles? Lewis also ranks way ahead of Tyson on the ATG HW list. It's not even close. Lewis ranks easily ahead of Evander, also.

i put in no particular order plus already altered my list earlier in post

I think lewis got caught by a once in a lifetime shot from mccall & he hadnt aclimaitized for the rahman fight. I mean he knocked the f**k ouut rahman in rematch & made oliver mccall cry, what more could he do.

I like your list, but I'd put Lennox above Foreman. Even the first incarnation of Foreman was plodding, but Lennox could bang and be light on his feet.

He did fight alot of great HW's, not good ones, great ones, and he just destroyed them.
We dont look at that era as a great one for HW's for one simple reason, most of those guys barely made Holmes sweat, his hardest fight in his prime was actually probably Cobb, for no other reason then this, Cobb wouldnt go the hell down and stay there. Nobody knew,or knows to this day what in the hell was keeping him upright. Cosell quit announcing boxing over that fight.
Larry didnt have the Ali ability to just make you look foolish, or that Tyson 1 punch and its over,he was somewhere in the middle
I can't think of one 'Great' Heavyweight that Holmes fought between 1978 and 1985, lots of 'Good' Ones

Not so sure on that one bud .. woulda been a great fight to see, prob Lennox wins it for me though

You need to watch some prime Larry Holmes, he would jab Lennox Lewis silly

Larry Holmes's career could be compared to Lennox Lewis career in some ways.

    Ken Norton------Evander Holyfield
    Muhammad Ali------- Mike Tyson
    Gerry Cooney------- Andrew Golota

It could be compared in a lot of other ways too, but they would be favourable to Lewis. I put Holmes ahead of Lewis, but on paper Lewis has the better resume imo. As I have always said there have only been 2 great eras of Heavyweight boxing,- Early Seventies, and Early -Mid nineties

He would be a cracking Cruiserweight though, can you imagine Rocky Marciano vs Evander Holyfield at Cruiserweight ? Wow is all i can say.
couldnt imagine many more fights batter than that one

when we discuss top 10 heavys maybe we should class the smaller heavys from yrs back in the weights they would be today?
Or we could call them the POUND FOR POUND Heavyweights taking into account the various era's lol
