I think Glenn could beat Calzaghe Joe pulled out with a bad back twice because he knew what would happen to him even Frank Warren himself has said Calzaghe was a nightmare to make fights for and he had pulled out of about 10 fights perhaps this is why he is 46-0.

Also Glenn is 40 next year so he fits into Calzaghe's opponent list nicely.

I like Johndon, and would like to see him have one last shot seeing as he's been there or there abouts, and also put a very good showing against Dawson. IMO he didn't win that fight, but it was very close.

Johnson's problem is that he is very one paced (not dimensional), same tempo throughout the fight. Against Dawson it was almost as if Chad could pick the rounds he wanted to win by picking the pace up past what Glenn could muster, though he didn't have the stamina to do it every round.

While Johnson is tough as nails and won't be stopped, he is tailor made for Calzaghe. While Bika did more than just come to survive against Joe, he was fighting on the back foot all night waiting to counter, which couldn't BE more different to Johnson's strategy. He has the same chance as anyone else against Calzaghe which is a punchers chance. The guys with the best chance of beating Joe are Hop and Kess, then probably Dawson of the guys he hasn't faced.

Glen Johnson is a great man and fighter, he is a hard man, but lets be honset there are three/four fights out there that are more meaningful for Joe to take, Dawson/Hopkins/Kessler/Froch. Before we can talk Johnson, that letter comes off a little desperate imo. I respect Glen but he should be chasing a rematch with Dawson before shouting out Calzaghe, also Joe was going to fight Glen if he would of beat Clinton Woods in there rubber match which he didnt. Whatever reason Joe didnt fight Glen for i dont think the timing is quite right for it to happen now.

Joe's already fought Hopkins and Kessler
No idea how Froch got on your list for meaningful fights.
    Dawson is legit.

There is already history with Calzaghe and Johnson, They are both part of the super popular senior league at 175. Johnson IMO is the best fight for Calzaghe, definately not the most profitable, but the most meaningful.

Firstly Johnson was beaton by Tarver and Dawson, what credit would Calzaghe get now for beating Johnson?? I say Froch as he is a fighter which similar to Kessler could become a future star after Joe has gone which in years to come will make a victory over him look good, but Johnson? What credit would he get? He was just beaton by Dawson, also was beaton by Tarver and was also beaton by Clinton Woods in the last of the three fights at this stage Johnson doesnt mean a great deal when the oppurtunity to beat the man who beat Johnson is on offer and the possible rematch with Hopkins, who has just schooled a figther who was in the p4p top 10 something Johnson is nowhere near, there are still many doubters over Calzaghes win over Hopkins so them two fights Dawson and Hopkins are far bigger/important to his career than Johnson.

Kessler and Froch are fighters who have the potential to become great fighters of there times, where like i say Johnson, is past his best and wouldnt mean a great deal at this time.

The only fighter that had a clear victory over Johnson was Hopkins, Johnson can also say that he beat a younger RJJ much more convincingly than Calzaghe did. Furthermore, a fight with Johnson is the only one that Calzaghe legitimately backed out of. Lastly it's the fight that I want and that trumps all other arguments
