As for the rest, yes I hope he gets sparked soon.
I didnt think about that with Haye I just didn't articulate it very well. Just saying, people were saying that about him (Lacy) a lot more then I've heard Haye fans brag on what he did in the amateurs. Like I said he has more pro credentials.

So no I articulated that fine it was just you who needed clarification.
I don't think you articulated it at all well Amat, I mean Haye had a better amatuer pedigree than Lacy, Lacy never won a medal at the World championships. And in being a two time and undisputed cruiserweight champ Haye is ALREADY leaps and bounds above Lacy in terms of acomplishments.

Lacy (and I love Jeff Lacy he's my fave American fighter) never beat a genuine world champ at super middle whereas Haye sparked the universally recognised champ in his own back yard then whupped one of the other champs in two rounds for good measure.

As much as I HATE David Haye you can't deny the man's acomplishment's.

He's actually a p4p level fighter right now I mean whupping Mormeck, Maccerinelli and Barrett has got to be better than Chad Dawson's resume and Dawson is knocking on the door for a p4p spot.

Haye proved tonight he IS an awesome fighter, I just really wish he wasn't
    MORMECK MACCERINELLI AND BARRET?!?!?!?!? WHAT?!?!

I'm never one to downplay ANY accomplishment but beat a top 10 untested cruiserweight and an old champ and a heavyweight who literally no one has had trouble with in title fights. That's ridiculous Monte Barret is like Gary Lockett in terms of meaning anything.

By the way, I wasn't denying anything about Haye accomplishing more then Lacy I was just saying people were saying that about Lacy when he was on his run and btw he did clear out most of the top rated middleweights with the exception of Calzaghe while Calzaghe was fighting the Evans Ashiras of the world. There was nothing close to a Joe Calzaghe in the cruisers when Haye cleared it and he had trouble which is what hype makes you not realize. I'm telling you Bilbo he's right there to be picked apart despite these fantastic exciting performances just like Lacy. That was the comparision.

Haye looked good too cautious at times but his speed and power were off the hook.

Well, Haye did what was expected. He put away a gatekeeper but this is no major achievement at all. He looked impressive but was he expected to look impressive.

Now I would like to see Haye fight Toney next, if he can get through Toney that would have more meaning for me.

Can you imagine the pre fight verbal back & forth?Worth the price alone.Don't think they will want that one,Haye has everything to lose at this stage. He can bide his time with all of the build up leading to a Klitschkos.Honestly, even at this stage I thing Toney gets into his head and takes him into very deep waters for an "L".

Some of the comments in this thread are hillarious.

None of you know david haye like i know him.

Hes a proper tough south london - millwall lad.

If you think for a moment he'll get beat by toney you really dont have a clue about boxing.

Im just PMSL at the comments here, so many people no fuk all about boxing lol.

    Wait and see what happens.

Pmsl...this aint no calzaghe whos relies on speed and stamina.

This is someone who's gonna brutally ko virtually everyone.

You were all praising holyfield who came up from cruiser...pmsl haye is undisputed cruiser champ and has won all bar 2 of his fights (1 was a loss) by ko.

Get with it guys...sorry but the more i read this the more i know people on here are below 21 years old, never boxed or played any form of competitive sport at any decent level before...its fukin meaningless.

PMSL WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS HATERS...Just cos hes british, you shouldnt hate

    Wait n see Pmsl.

And im laughing so fukin hard to read that people think he was kd by barret lol, watching the replay live on setanta and i saw it the first time, monte held haye arm and pushed his body and haye slipped...you guys are cracking me up pmsl.

Quality analysis lads...im looking forward to the next 'saddo-boxing' analyses to come before hayes next fight, then after he brutally ko's them i wanna hear the excuses again...keep em coming, thanx for the entertainment

Why come and post here then if you think that ? im under 21 and i am an Amateur boxer with 4 fights under my belt and i come from a good boxing family. Being under 21 doesn't mean anything, by the way i think your post is out of line.

I gave David Haye credit but everyone is allowed different opinions, beating Monte Barett isn't that impressive. He is a gatekeeper and David Haye was 66-1 odds on to win, so that just shows how much of mismatch this fight was.

David Haye did what he had to though, beat the man infront of him. And look impressive while doing it, he showed the power/speed even at Heavyweight, which was the question marks some people had.

But i really don't know why you bother posting here, if you think most of us are under 21 and know nothing about boxing and aren't on your "Level". And thats all im really going to say, im not going to get into a slanging match. But i don't get your logic at all, because if i thought your way i wouldn't bother coming here.

But IMO we have some of the most knowledgable boxing fans here, aswell as good Amateur fighters/Trainers. And were a tight community here and we all get along fine, and there are always good debates. I really don't know why you think the way you do, but its your opinion i guess.

Yeah BB,that was a harsh coronation into the Heavys for Haye,I honestly thought he would take out the consistent & formidable Barret within 3 ...geez,what do I know.Maybe we should just do away with the formalities of him working his way into the division,Make the belts all sparkly and shiney and just hand them off to him.Sure would save some time.

And for the record,Haye is no Holyfield. No where close. To this very day,Holyfield gets labeled as "A blown up cruiser" by some and Haye will get his fair share of doubts and nay-sayers as well.Look the man has substantial promise and quality speed/Power.But at this point I see a guy who emphasis's power over consistency & defense. One step at a time brother. And right now,I don't think Toney beats him for just one minute....I think Toney beats him for quite a few minutes.Aside from frontal power ,He would be in deep right now.If Barret is bouncing jabs off your melon, what do you think Toney will do when his own right follows it.But I'm glad you found us entertaining, makes it all worth while for us common non-fans.Have to love your broad generalities...not.

And leave that tired, played out Hater mantra in the gym next to the dumb-bells.Its not because he's British that some have doubts. Its because he's the new flavor in the heavyweight division & has a pompous attitude.Hmm

Hey London, good to see you back on the forum mate, I thought you vowed to quit forever last week after the Calzaghe win?

By the way what is pmsl is it a form of period that all you steroid inducing bodybuilding buff batty boys get because the roids kill your testoserone and flood your system with estrogen?

Is it true you poof's can actually ovulate if you inject too much? I heard a couple stories about some body building batty's who actually started lactating and used to drink each other's man milk?

Have you tried that or you not proper hardcore into the gay bodybuilding scene?

I really dont think anybody could care less if you know Haye or not.

Beating Barrett doesnt mean very much at all. Anybody who knows anything about boxing would know that. Dont you?!

Now a fight with Toney would obviously be a far sterner test than Barrett. Wasn't Barrett stopped in two rounds against who exactly last year? And he has lost every time he has tried to step it up.

Toney doesnt get blown out by anybody and he has skills. Toney would be a very serious challenge for Haye, and an obvious step up.

And, yes, I think Toney, if he hasnt slipped too much, has what it takes to beat Haye. I think a bigger challenge for Toney is his upcoming fight with Thompson. If Toney can get through that then a fight with Haye could be most viable.

Haye wants to make a name internationally, Toney is the old legend. Would be a good scrap.

Mormeck was the universally recognised cruiserweight champ, Maccerinelli was ranked about Number 3 in the Ring magazine. Certainly they both equate well with a 40 year old Tarver and a 39 year old Johnson.

If Dawson is borderline p4p then so is Haye. Haye was the undisputed cruiserweight champ, that must count for something.

And I can't stand Haye personally, but you can't deny the man's acomplishments'
