Hatton on points for me, in a tough but convincing fight, 41% going for Paulie by decision, going to be some humble pie come sunday.
i voted paulie by decision. i dont know why but i thought about this fight for a while and the more and more i think about it I see paulie taking a decision and there will be no KO in this fight at all. if anything its gonna go to the guy who is the better boxer that night which could be Hatton more than likely because i still think Hatton can pull it off but it wont be with ease. but the reason i picked Paulie to win is because i have this slight feeling in the back of my head that paulie will take this.
but for the record i think its gonna be a great fight.
Hatton by ud.I think we will see Hatton use the jab alot more in this fight and when he gets in close he will punch holes in Paulies defence.
Even though I voted for PM (Just a gut feeling) Im surprised by how close the voting is so far on here .. at the mo a 60/40 split in favour of RH, I really thought the vote would favour RH a lot more .. maybe it will as the fight gets closer

Blimey, what a load of tosh that Compubox Analysis is.
It goes through 10 million statisics, then concludes with - If Paulie is fit he'll win a close decision, if not Hatton will win a close decision. In any event - Paulie will most likely get robbed seeing as Hatton is a Golden Boy fighter.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Mind you I think Paulie may pull off the upset (I voted for it admittedly), but I think that your post is an accurate assessment. The experience advantage of Hatton is also being overlooked. Hatton has been in with PBF, Maussa, Collazo, Urango, Castillo, and Tszyu. Actually, now that I think about it - that is a very credible resume (or curriculum vitae as you Brits refer to it). Additionally, this isn't his first time travelling to the States. He knows what he is up against. He also saw a much better version of Paulie in PBF. My thinking, and I very well may be wrong, is that the PBFesque style gives Hatton problems, and Paulie may be just be fast enough and slick enough to duplicate it and win the fight.
Plus, I would love to see ODLH's plans ruined.
I've gone Ricky by decision. I only see Hattons high pressure on the inside being too much for Paulie but I don't see Ricky being able to stop him after seeing what he withstood from Cotto.
I have no idea who to pick.....if hatton comes out and tries to be something he isn't and outbox paulie i feel he'll loose at the same time it's been a while since i've seen malignaggi do anything in the ring that makes me belive he can keep the old style hatton off him for 12 rounds. He'll get an injury, have a bad night, he has a ton of excuses reguardless of how true on untrue they are they're always there, it's a toss up in my book but i have to give hatton the edge i guess.

Who's looked worse lately, I mean Floyd is one thing but Hatton looked poor against Lazcano and like Sweetpea said Paulie's looked pretty horrible lately.
I've got Hatton I guess. Wouldn't be surprised by anything outside of a Malignaggi stoppage.
to add fuel to the fire: Ricky Hatton - Paulie Malignaggi - The Handicappers Thread
I don't really like either fighter but based on recent history I have to say Malinaggi by decision and here's why.
1. Ricky Hatton has trouble making weight therefore he fights in spurts
2. Ricky changed trainers which given his previous style doesn't seem like a fit to me, Floyd Sr. has never done much for fighters after they have peaked bar De la Hoya
3. Hatton had PLENTY of trouble with another light hitting, strong chinned, southpaw Luis Collazo....Malinaggi is even slicker than him.
The only issue I see with Paulie is that #1 he's a fag and #2 he has fragile hands.
Ricky should do well in this.
I never fully believe the pre fight claims on training, but it would appear he has been trained extremely well. Sometimes a change in camp is exactly what is necessary to refresh the approach inside the ring.
Malignaggi has an incredibly awkward style and Hatton has had issues with every southpaw he has faced (magee, Collazo, Urango,) but I do feel that should Ricky be in good condition Malignagi is in trouble.
Against Cotto, Malignaggi's inside defnce was to grab and hold, bad idea against the Mancunian, as Ricky loves this.
My man Hatton, late stoppage.

I think Ricky has peaked....De la Hoya had BIG trouble adapting to Mayweather's training Vargas gave him fits until he got back to just brawling and when he did that he won those rounds easy.
The only problem for Ricky is that Paulie is a boxer and not a brawler like Vargas. So if Ricky gets behind on the cards he's going to be shit outta luck because he's not going to KO Malinaggi
Back in the Day i would have picked Hatton to win all day long BUT...
I don't like the trainer change and i see an undermotavated Hatton losing on points.
also its hard to belive this fight is happening in 2 days, never have i seen a hatton fight with so little attention around it.
looks like the wheels fell off the money train IMO![]()
