Yes, most of McGirt fighters have lost their big fights, but in almost all those cases, McGirt's fighter wasn't as good as his opponent.

Tarver was a big favorite against Hopkins, but in hindsight, I think we'd all agree that Hopkins is a much better fighter than Tarver. Can anyone seriously blame McGirt for Gatti's loss to Mayweather? Gatti could have had Eddie Futch and Angelo Dundee working his corner and he still wouldn't gotten dominated.
