A lot of boxing promoters couldn't match the cheeks of their buttocks. Mickey Duff..
Bowe had bigger and better fights like Dokes and Ferguson.
At certain stages when he beat Holyfield the first time and when he beat a number of undefeated fighters he had the potential to beat Lewis. This was also when Lewis looked poor against Bruno and Tucker.
It certainly would have been a good contest because both would have been at their best when they fought one another as they hated each other too much to even contemplating losing.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'm a big Bowe fan but I don't think he wanted any part of a guy who had size, speed, a jab and right hand to rival his own.
i wonder where their careers would have gone if they did fight?

Riddick Bowe was actually scheduled to fight Lennox Lewis a 2nd time, all Lennox Lewis had to do was beat Oliver McCall and we all know how that went.
It took Lennox Lewis a few years to get his rep back and while Lennox Lewis was doing this. Riddick Bowe went life and death with Evander Holyfield in there 3rd fight. He then took two severe beatings off Andrew Golota.
If they had met in 1992 Riddick Bowe would of won, Lennox Lewis was far too reckless at that point. And like Master said he had some poor showings against Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno.
Lewis would smash him anytime any place... So what lewis got cought by a lucky punch by mccall, the ref shudnt hav stopped that fight anyway..
dont Fuck with the chuck
Lennox Lewis was wobbling all over the place when he got up, it was a good stoppage. Have you seen a young Lennox Lewis ? he was getting outboxed by the likes of Frank Bruno until he swung a left hook out of desperation.
He was also in some trouble against 35 year old Tony Tucker, Lennox Lewis took far too many punches in those days. A prime Riddick Bowe IMO would for certain beat that version, but not the older/better Lennox Lewis.
