I run round the corner to see my boss who was like a pretty Burlie guy, with a shovel in his hand wacking the shit out of these rose bushes.. He was hacking and chopping and we were like, "what's going on"? and he goes "There was a fucking snake".. Just then while he's still chopping, the snake comes flying out of another bush off to the side goes across the grass behind him.. We yelled that the snake was behind him while he's still chopping thinking it was in the roses.. He turnes around and again, the most awful squeel i've ever heard.... He ended up getting it with the shovel...
But he was absolutely terrified of it..

I'm not sure how scared I am of them, because I've seen very few of them in my life.. If I lived in an area where they were around often, I would probably be more afraid...

Spiders just freak me totally the fuck out though.. Horrified by them..
We have tiger snakes along the footpath where I run regularly, I hate them. I remember I was in primary school and we had a triathalon and in the space of 2km's of the run I saw about 3 or 4 tiger snakes. I shat myself, that does not even compare to my fear of spiders though. I was biten in yr.8 on m hand when I was getting something out of the shed and had this rash on my hand for 6 months whihc would not go away and was itchy as hell. I was told I was lucky that it was a little one otherwise something serious could have happened to me.

I think that is the only downside of australia; the vast array of animals which can kill you.
