pac get hits too easilly to win this im afraid,

the best he can hope for is to try and stay away from de la hoya as much as possible darting in and out (and definatley NOT staying inside) and wait for oscar to tire which he will do

the weight still seems a bit of an odd issue to consider for me

in the tale of De La Hoya - Trinidad Oscar said he was killing himself to make weight and even had to weigh in nude to get down to 147, now how many years ago was that fight, almost a decade, but now suddenly at 35 he can do it ?

something doesnt ring true, i just cannot see Oscar making it and i am prepared to be dissapointed like i was when the guzman - cambell fight got cancelled

lets just watch and witness, sugar ray tried it but failed his still the greatest though i dont think a lost will affect pac that much, he deserve this pay day more then anybody. his been taking on the best possible since he knew what boxing was. im proud of our boy pacfan win or lose. his a legend already, imo he has nothing left to prove but any addition win is just icing on his great career.

OKay pacfan..... I will be adding more to your anxiety. Personally, I really thought and believed that DLH was winning during the early rounds against PBF whom everybody considers as an excellent technical fighter. Consider me as a bad judge but I really thought DLH won that fight.

If PBF was unable to KO DLH, I don't see any reason why PAc would be able to do it. I've seen how PBF handled Hatton. I've seen how Hatton dismissed MAlignaggi easily. You know what, I still believe that Hatton would be too much for Pac.

These events lead me to conclude and affirm my previous prediction that Pac will not be winning this fight. I do agree that style makes fight but Pac's style won't work against DLH considering the fact that no matter how fast and strong PAc is, he won't be able to KO DLH.

This fight had been decided already. Pac will lose this fight but will go home a very, very wealthy man.

For the record, that's the only reason I'm agreeing on this fight.

Also, let it be noted that I rarely make mistake in my major prediction.

I don't know if Iwill include this fight in my prayers.

    Mr. pacfan,

Here's one scenario on what might happen in the Hoya-PAC fight...

I made a post on some other thread about something like this. I NEEDED convincing because the only outcome I see is Oscar knocking out Pac brutally. Anything else would be a victory in itself.

    C'MON PAC!!! PROVE ME WRONG!

He needs to only come in when he is throwing shots, otherwise stay fully out of Oscar's range and hope that Oscar doesn't impose himself which he has never been known for doing fully. Pacquiao needs to either do that or swamp Oscar with workrate, and hope he can handle Oscar's power.

    Dear Mr. pacfan,

    Here's one boxing writer's imagination of the fight outcome;

"De La Hoya’s greatest weapon is a hybrid left hook/uppercut he calls his “45” – the angle at which the punch is delivered. But Pacquiao’s southpaw stance neutralizes much of its effect. De La Hoya’s 45 is best thrown over an oncoming orthodox fighter’s lowered right hand. That fighter’s chin sits at the end of De La Hoya’s extended left arm. Pacquiao’s chin will be closer and moving forward faster. Pacquiao’s right hand will be higher – for being in the lead.

With his 45 neutralized De La Hoya has to rely on his jab. But Pacquiao’s awfully quick. If he can slip De La Hoya’s jab he can pressure De La Hoya. Then it becomes a battle between Pacquiao’s left cross and De La Hoya’s right. Thirty pounds or otherwise, my money is on Pacquiao’s left.

So let’s imagine Pacquiao catches De La Hoya straight on the beard with a leaping left cross. De La Hoya drops. He rises. Then Pacquiao attacks, the best closer since Alec Baldwin in “Glengarry Glen Ross.” And De La Hoya withstands the onslaught. Now what?

De La Hoya has an opportunity to adjust, survive and outmaneuver both Pacquiao and trainer Freddie Roach – De La Hoya’s one-time trainer. If he can do this then win decisively, he can save his franchise.

How about that? A well-matched fight with ebb and flow and someone hitting the blue mat. Sounds like a recipe for any great fight. Maybe “The Dream Match” isn’t so different after all.

Time for a pick, then? No. I still don’t know who’s going to win."

    Respectfully,

    SaddoBoxer

It wont be cancelled cuz of weight . If Oscars over he pays Pac summat like a million dollars for every pound he is over . I think he can make the weight. Anyone can make weight its just being strong at the weight that counts. Whats worrying was I heard Oscar say that he was light headed when he came down in weight . Thats not a good sign but I still think he wins if he lets his skills do the business for him

If I was a Pac fan,Id be worried sick right now,I havent seen DLH work this hard in forever.
Pacs best hopes are that either age finally catches Oscar,or that Roach isnt blowing smoke and really did see a serious flaw in Oscars game, that Nacho cant fix.

i think oscar may come to this fight like how eric came in for the third fight. overtrained and thin and couldn't gain back his weight after the weigh in. if that happens to oscar then oscar is in trouble. Plus i have faith in Freddy Roach, he wont put pac in danger. If he said he know pac will beat oscar then that means his dead serious. Ofcourse anything can happen in boxing so who knows....

I don't think Pac has any chance.. i'm afraid Mr. Pacfan.

Pac is going to look like a midget compared with Oscar. He's gonna be hit harder than ever before. His punches are going to have less impact than ever before.

If he makes it the distance it should be seen as a moral victory.

This fight will play out just like B-Hop vs Oscar. Only this time Oscar is B-Hop and Manny rolls around on the canvas pounding his fist. Ok maybe not like that but it really dosen't look good. Manny is very underated at getting in throwing and getting out. The only one really who caught him coming in and out is Marquez. In theory Oscar starts fast and fades in the late rounds. I think this time around Manny's workrate will take over early and even make Oscar look bad and old, but as the fight goes on all that natural weight and power will start to show up and wear Manny down. I'm going with a 10th KO from Oscar.

He's got to outspeed him and not take too many big shots. Hopefully he can but highly unlikely, he almost certainly gets stopped or KO'd.

that's right, anything can happen in this fight considering that it's at 147lbs, a weight oscar hasn't been at in more than 7 years. if oscar doesn't put enough damage to pac in the early rounds he just might find himself scraping the bottom of the barrel for some energy just to finish the fight. then again, one flush hit from oscar could end it for pac. i hope pac can stay away from de la hoya's biggest bomb throughout the bout.

pacfan, this a message from pacquiao, "Relax lang kayo, masyado naman kayong kinakabahan," he told those present in a lunch he hosted on Sunday. "Masyado kayong tense e. Relax lang kayo," he said smiling.

If Pacquiao reaches DLH with anything which can hurt the guy, he has a chance... Only thing that DLH needs is to maintain his composure and not lose steam... or else, its gonna be a date with the mat for sure. I'd be at work come this day... the agony... has anybody tried this site out in their area?

    Pacquiao Vs. Dela Hoya

planning to sneak a view or two while they ain't looking wish it would available where I'm at though
