I've seen Gamboa listed as prospect of the year a bunch of times. Am I the only one who thinks once he fights someone with decent power he's going to get floored? I'm thinking the same thing with Kirkland. He got hit with a bunch of slow motion punches from Vera. These guys will be in deep trouble when they fight the wrong person.

They're exciting and I hope they can fix their defense up a little bit, they'd both be good for boxing.

Gamboa has been floored a few times... It's cuz he fights like an arogant asshole. Kind of like Vic. But I like him. Your analysis is on point though. He's still young and will be moved slowly. luckily he has the skill to turn the amatuer mistakes around.

Kirkland is a fireplug. He fought Vera well. The punches Vera landed were pretty few and far between. Most guys(even close to elite) would have been floored by some of the great shots James was putting on him. Vera is just a rugged dude. With a little more pollishing and exp he'll be something special.

Vera is tough as nails. He was getting schooled by Kirkland no doubt. I thought fro a second there we might see a flash knockdown, but by no means could he knock him out. Kirkland is a solid prospect. I had to go with Bernabe Concepcion, though. He is so fast and is gonna be amazing.

It may take Concepcion another year or two to get to the world class level, but I was very impressed with his performance on HBO fro the under card to.... (*******) someone please fill in that blank.
