Watching Derrick Moon last night I thought WOW! Then I saw his boxrec profile

I had never seen Derrick Moon and I was very impressed with his hand speed and his orthodox/unorthodox style and he caught Amaury Torres with a Zab Judah style sneak check hook and dropped Amaury Torres on his face anyway... I was like wow! This kid has potential, I though he was a new kid on the block since he was fighting a 4 rounder and they mentioned he had faught 12 fights this year and I was like wow another Tyson and then after the fight I went to see his record

Moon looked totally on point last night, I would have thought that he was one of the featured prospects, very slick and everything he landed was meaningful. Even though his record looks bad, he has a decent amount of MD's and SD's I wonder how many of his losses are legit and how many are because of the fact he was fighting featured prospects.

When me and Danny were watching him fight, we thought, "Damn, this kid is good", then Danny looked up his record, and said, "it's another Emanuel Augustus".

Moon is a very good fighter. He has lost a lot of fight but many of them were close or controversial. Hes a victim of poor management but hes a guy always comes to fight. If he was handled differently he would have a much better looking record, but there are a lot of guy like him in boxing that have the right tools but the wrong career path.
