    Let's not get carried away.

Oscar was awful tonight and it's no doubt whatsoever he couldn't make the weight.

I made a post a couple weeks ago highlighting how no fighter has ever moved down two weight classes and been successful, especially not one over 35.

Jones career fell apart when he did it, Tarver's career collapsed when he did it and Byrd could barely even stand up after dropping from heayweight to light heavy.

Oscar was his lowest weight for 12 years. When your 35 that is simply not natural.

At 154 the fight would have been very different I feel.

Of course. But if this fight happened at 154 and Oscar won most people wouldnt feel the outcome should have been different if the catch weight was 147. everyone taught Oscar still had the upperhand. and its impossible for him be a light welter.
So I guess this weight is fair play for both of them. But the truth is Oscar is just a shot fighter and a promoter on his prime. Sad but true. and for the record,I think DOn King is shot.anyone who disagree?

He should fight Floyd and Hatton, guys around his size, not Cotto or Margarito. I think he deserves all the credit in the world, even if Oscar could get off it meant nothing, like against Floyd, but Floyd didn't capatalize offensively like he should have. Honestly Mayweather being my second favorite fighter against Pacquiao probably my 4th favorite fighter would be a great fighter, I've thought recently that this would be a good matchup stylewise because Floyd has difficulties against southpaws, and Manny is maybe the best southpaw ever, I knew his boxing was underrated by most people, but not like this, Oscar landed the same % against him as he did against Floyd.
