Default Credit To Manny And Oscar

Manny fought brilliantly. I would even say that he put fourth one of the greatest performances in 10 years. I thought Oscar would beat him. Manny proved he reigns as the greatest fighter p4p in the world, unquestionably.

Oscar deserves credit too because he gave Manny his credit. It is clear that he is not the same fighter he once was, and I think that maybe he didnt take this fight because he thought it would be easy, maybe he thought of it as a tough challenge like he said.

Both fighter have been great for the sport. Both have great legacies. And both should be proud of their accomplishments. Congrats to Manny!

I give heaps of credit to Manny. He did everything so well, and showed he really has matured so much. He has all the tools and a remarkable boxing brain. It was a special performance beating all the odds and obstacles like that.

I refuse to give Oscar much credit though because I disagree with his motivations for making this fight. He could have gone for a big fight against someone of a similar standing, look at Mosley...now that a fighter I can respect. But Oscar?? No, forget it, he is a dilletante pretender. He looked at what would make big money and possibly be a lower risk. He got it horribly wrong and was thoroughly humiliated. He's made his 20 million or whatever and quit after 8. The money was the only motivation and he has it. Pathetic, and I hope he now stays in the suit. Or the stockings. Whichever takes his fancy. But he is done with fighting.

But again full credit to Manny. He is the man.

F@ck Oscar!!!!!!! Roy and Kelly took their 12 round beatings like men. Oscar took his $20 mil plus (and who knows how much more hard earned dollars from fans struggling through these tough economic times) and f@ckin' quit. Manny deserves all the credit in the world. Oscar should have his East L.A. pass revoked permanently!

Let's not get too carried away about Manny. Brilliant, well that's hard to say, anyone could have looked good against de La Hoya tonight. Oscar was horrible. By far the worst he's ever been. He had absolutely nothing. At best his jab was halfway decent, and maybe he landed half dozen body shots, but the rest of his game was non-existant. I wouldn't rank him as a top 30 welterweight with a performance like that.

Yeah but he didn't look this awful against Forbes. Pac took his spirit from the get go. I think it was on the 8th round where he got tagged by a short left jab/lead at the face then he drops his hand shook his head then took a step back. Pac noticed it and lands a left to the liver then cornered Oscar where he almost went down. Oscar may have faded in previous fights but he never did that. During the break he asked Nacho what round is it.realizing there is still a third of the fight left he quitted on his stool.Didn't want to take more punisment from the 'tasmanian devil'. Like morales on the grudge match. I think that is what Pac brings to the table more than anyone else. He eats your soul.

Oh absolutely he was far better against Forbes. THE DLH that fought tonight most likely would have lost to Forbes as well.
