    Marquez is still P4P no.1

Pac and Calzaghe are 2 and 3
    3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

Honestly, I don't think there is anyone Joe can fight that would make him #1 pound for pound. A win against Dawson would just solidify Joe the best in the weightclass but nothing more. Joe could've had a better chance to hit the P4P top spot had he fought Jones and Hopkins earlier in his career.

I really don't see anyone not having Pacquiao as the best P4P fighter in the world. This weekend just threw away all doubts. He's beating the best names possible, moving up in weight, getting better and more dominant each fight, and still looking to fight the big fights. With that in mind, I think there's little one can do to outshine that except be close to Manny's weightclass, set up a fight, then take him off the top spot by beating him.

Joe does have less options but I don't see anything coming along that can propel him to the top spot unless Manny loses in an embarrassing way.

Joe wasn't Pfp best before this weekend so he sure as hell aint after. Pac is no 1 right now and will be rated so. Only in college football would it make sense to have joe or anyone else no 1

    Fights for Joe Calzaghe ?

    Chad Dawson
    Lucian Bute
    Jermain Taylor
    Carl Froch
    Bernard Hopkins 2
I'm a Calzaghe fan but would have Pac ahead of him in p4p rankings, dont
think theres much JC can do
to get ahead of him if PAC doesn't get beaten, I think Calzaghes only real options for fights are Chad Dawson or Hopkins 2(neither would make him p4p 1), the first Hopkins fight was an awful fight so can't see that happening again so that leaves Dawson, would like to see it but if he retires I'll respect his decision. as for Bute,Taylor and Froch, I don't think any of them would beat Kessler, back to original point I have it
    Pac 1
    JC 2

He had so much time to prove himself before.. while only now... p4p is not decided in just one fight isn't that the case... Pac and Joe are both great fighters but the difference in the way they climb the ranks are really the one you to take into consideration. what the hell am i debating about p4p its a myth anyway...

There is no comparison. Pacman is p4p #1 without any doubt whatsoever.

In one year, Pacman beat Barrera at 130, Marquez at 130, Diaz at 135, and Oscar De La Hoya at 147.

Pacman started his career at 109!!! He just destroyed a first ballot hall of famer at 147!

Boxing pundits are putting him in the same conversation as Henry Armstrong. Not equating him, but to be mentioned in the same paragraph is credit enough.

Calzaghe could add to his legacy by facing Chad Dawson.

IF Calzaghe beat Dawson at 175 before Pacman fights Hatton, you can arguably make that claim. But, if Pacman beats Hatton at 140 to become a champion at junior welter weight, then at time or another he has been champion of 7 weight classes! That is just plain ridiculous. Lunacy really.

Cheers. I was trying to help dude out without being too harsh. The post was clearly idiodic.

agreed with every word. lets see Pac fought JMM #2 p4p by ring Mag and won, moved up in weight to fight David Diaz and TKOd him in 9, moved up 2 weight classes to fight Oscar and was expected to lose and made him quit. Calzaghe fought to a close decision with Bhop and some felt he lost, and beat a past his prime RJJ. easy to pick #1 for me.

Exactly, I can't think of anyone who'd put JC above Pac based on the facts but to each their own.

What Pac has done in his career is far greater than what JC has done in my opinion. JC shot himself in the foot by only taking on challenges in the latter stages of his career against guys even further into their careers (apart from Kessler). Pac man takes it for his superior record across his career.

WEll alright i am not a fan of either but here we go right now Pacman would have to beat first old Oscar or not he still got the win and looks better then Jones i guess you could say that much about that. But then there is Hopkins that fight was close but so was the Marquze fights and yea i spelled it wrong anyhow then we go into Barrea and Morles i am not sure form all there wars that they were still the fighters they used to be. Morles was coming off loses every time he fought pac one time he won it. Calzaghe beat Lacy and Kessler both not legends but they were primed fighters who were at top od the divsion so that means something also Calzaghe is undefeated as well so that comes into it as well. I say if he had a win over Dawson or moved up and beat a CW that was at the top he have a chance to pull ahead but time is not on his side so who knows.

The fact it is hard for Joe to become P4P number 1 can be attributed a lot to the fact that it took so long for him to fight tough opposition. I mean if he'd fought and beat younger versions of RJJ and BHOP then i think he'd be number 1 now. Instead he was rematching Veit and the like.

I agree there isnt the talent around between 160 and 175 at the moment to really help Joes legacy but 5-10 years ago there was plenty.
    Younger RJJ
    Younger BHOP
    Darius Michalzcewski
    Younger Tarver
    Younger Glen Johnson
    to name a few.
I think Joe has the talent, work ethic and desire to be the P4P king but it wont happen because he has left his run too late.
