I love Marquez, great fighter, but I don't see him beating Hatton. I can't see him getting off effective shots if Hatton decides to smother him. I think hatton's defense is only going to improve, and he eats Marquez alive on the inside. At range I think its a close fight, I think their overall speed is pretty even, and Marquez has enough power to make Hatton respect him, if not stop Ricky, but I don't think he would get the chance, Hatton would take this fight in Manchester likely where the ref will let him swarm Marquez, and once against Marquez isn't the defensive fighter Mayweather is.

As for JMM-PBF and Pac-PBF, clearly Mayweather would have way more problems wtih Pacquiao. Marquez does well because he is quicker and more technically sound than opponents, but Mayweather is better in both categories. Mayweather would out jab him, out speed him, be too elusive for Marquez to hit. Guys like Marquez allow Mayweather to fight more like he used to at lower weights, and that means more punches, more fluidity, and that can't help Marquez who once again is far easier to hit.

Manny presents unique challenges, he has that speed, and he's southpaw. As for Manny against Margarito, I think its a lot closer than you guys give Manny credit for, I mean P. Williams punches bounced of Margarito, but footspeed like I've been saying will give Margarito nightmares, Manny can go 12 rounds like this. He trains to do it. If the much faster Oscar couldn't catch a whiff of Manny, then I am having a harder and harder time of seeing Tony being able to keep up with Manny.

i wouldnt say JMM was quicker than pac and he gave him as much as he could handle

Pacquiao to me holds the best chance of beating mayweather, look at the judah fight, first 4 or 5 rounds zab was giving mayweather fits with his style, the southpaw stance and his speed, but then he fell apart mentally as he often does

now it seems far fetched now but so did manny beating DLH could pac give floyd them exact same sort of problems for the entire fight not just the early rounds, i would say pac is on par with judah for speed at 147, he is arguebly more powerful, PBF is no doubt a great fighter but i feel pac has a shot

If this doesn't draw Mayweather out of retirement, I'm not sure what will. I would be very happen to see a both JMM/Hatton fight and a Pac/Mayweather fight. If JMM and Pac win, it sets up the third fight. If Hatton wins, it only makes Pac/Hatton bigger. If Floyd wins, he can go back to retirement. I doubt he would both to rematch Hatton.

Pac/Mayweather definitely gets my vote for the fight I most want to see in 2009.

It was JMM technical skills that allowed him to fight Pacquiao so closely, in that case it was his speed OR his technical skills, he had a big enough advantage in the second category that it made up for the lesser speed. Judah is a completely different type of fighter, and when he was coming forwad he wasn't landing on Mayweather. He was only able to hit Mayweather effectively when he was counter punching, and Mayweather was coming forward. Pacquiao is a good counter puncher, but if he tried to throw the left like he did against Oscar those punches aren't likely landing on mayweather if Floyd decides to fight defensively. Judah didn'tfall apart agianst Floyd, its just Mayweather adapted, he was only throwing his right hand in the early rounds, and after a few rounds he started throwing a left hook and other punches after that straight right. Oscar didn't have a right hand at all, Mayweather is the guy with the best right hand that Manny will have ever faced, I don't see him avoiding it, but it will still be a great matchup because of Manny's output.
