I was saying the fight should end under rounds. I don't think there's any way this one goes the distance. I have no idea who will win though. I'm leaning towards Hatton (about 60/40), but I really feel this is pretty close to a 50/50 proposition.

oops my bad. but this is def a 50/50 fight but if Pac fights the same way hes been fighting then he will win. pac is gettin better and better this will surely be a instant classic fight though no matter who wins.

This is Great Pac just ko'ed dela hoya and now hatton is next Pac will be too fast and slick for hatton. Pac moves too much and puts a beating on his oppenent while doing so. Hatton doesn't have a one punch power that could worry pac and he can't counter. Hatton needs to land a lot to win and thats not going to happy. FAct is before hatton lands enough to beat pac, Pac would have landed enough already to put his lights out. Juan nearly took hattons head off with hooks, image what a pac who just made dela hoya quit a 147 will do This is surely to be made at 140 cause at 147 it would be even easier

I'm not sure Pac has such great power at the higher weight. I don't think ODLH was hurt so much as he was frustrated, confused, and just generally beaten. Hatton is used to walking through punches and the thing everybody seems to not notice is he has great foot speed. I think that really caught PM by surprise. He really closes in fast.

I'm with those that think this is a pick-em fight. I would pick Pac though...

I will be leaning more on Hatton, but definitely a pick em fight.

I posted my feelings about this fight in another thread prior to the De La Hoya fight:

I think Hatton-Pac is about a 50/50, maybe 60/40 fight (for Hatton). Hatton cuts and swells easily, and even if Pac isn't a murderous puncher at 140, he's still a high volume, accurate puncher with some power. He moves well, and he's far too intelligent to get involved in a wrestling match with Hatton. Also, they're close to the same height, so it's not like Pac is going to have to take a tremendous amount of punishment just to get inside Hatton's range. As Skel mentioned, Hatton has a history of poor performances against southpaws, and he's never fought one as skilled as Pac.

You say Hatton doesn't have one punch power ? Look at the Castillo and Maussa fights.

Forget the Lazcano fight, Hatton is now rejuvenated with Floyd Sr.

Defensively he is sound, good jab, great power and underrated speed.

He rocked Malignaggi on several occasions forcing his corner to pull him out.

NOBODY in the world beats him at 140 pounds, NOBODY.

De La Hoya was old and shot, he never had the hunger to train, he'ld been there and done it.

Hatton hasn't. He wants the P4P #1 so badly. And when he smashes Pac next year, he'll get it.

    ofcourse you think that

nobody beats hatton at 140? watch when pac gets to that division

Pac gonna demolish hatton. Its sad hatton can't go up to 147, and can't go down thte 135 and now pac going after him at 140 Hatton is done, no place to run. Just earn the big purse with pac and be retired like the other fighters pac put out

I'm actually glad you're coming up with these comical statements. Cuz when Hatton beats the daylight shit out of Pac the win will look even better.

Is it just me or does he seem to be avoiding calling out Mayweather? If I wanted to be universally recognised as the man I'd be calling out the man!

According to fightnews Mayweather wants the fight and also wants Mayweather snr to train him!

PAC does not usually call out a boxer.... PAC also leave the matchmaking and negotiation of a fight to his promoter... Team PAC indicated that PAC will be on vacation until the New Year...

all i can see about this fight is that I want it to happen as soon as possible. Hatton wouldnt be like a zombie like de la hoya was and Manny would find himself in a really really good fight here. It could go either way and I really do hope that it can happen. The winner should also have a fight with Mayweather and this is a great incentive for both men to fight the best fighter in the world.

I got owned saturday night amongst my fellow boxing alumni

Its very hard being english and a de-la hoya fan at the moment as anyone who is a boxing fan of any sort was cheering on pacman saturday night and i spent 3 endless months telling them all how come the 6th of December ODLH would be too strong for pac who would get the living daylights beat out of him.

My respect for pacquiao has gone up no end, i still believe marquez beat him twice and in barrera and morales he beat a couple of shot fighters, but hey credit where credit is due.

But for anyone to claim oscars performance was anything but shocking is ridiculous, the guy threw barely anything, fought pacman in straight lines throughout the entire fight and was a still target to hit.

If you seriously think at this weight class pac has the same joy against the likes of hatton, cotto, margarito etc you are absoloutely crazy.

Hatton to bully pac into submission within 10 brutal rounds!!!!
    one dangerous horrible bloke
