Of course Bush, ignorant dipstick that he is, cracked some joke about shoe size. Probably he had no concept of the nature of the insult, or it's relevance to the Muslim faith. One would hope that if he did, he wouldn't have joked such.

Things under that tyrant are probably looking pretty rosy about now.

You can't force people to take up democracy (and if you think there is any real democracy in the West, you're dreaming). Especially in a place with no tradition of democracy. The Middle East has been a quagmire for nearly 100 years due to Western intervention.

I remember on the news when the Americans pulled the statue of Saddam down with the crane, the iraqi people took off their shoes/sandles and hit it in the face lol.
