Things under that tyrant are probably looking pretty rosy about now.
You can't force people to take up democracy (and if you think there is any real democracy in the West, you're dreaming). Especially in a place with no tradition of democracy. The Middle East has been a quagmire for nearly 100 years due to Western intervention.
yea it can not be force and no im not dreaming about democracy in the west. I said a chance at democracy and what we have here is a Republic. People may think we have a democracy but ask the official question of the state, what kind of goverment do we have? the only right answer is. REPUBLIC.
What would you expect? What if a country invaded America to eradicate Bush and killed innocent people along the way? I'm sure you would lob a shoe at the countries leader too if he came to visit and claim it was a success
Did they ever find all those WMD?That is what they went in for isn't it?
Stuff like this actually makes me like people more. I am with Lyle I think Bush handled this great, great moves too.
And before today I had no idea that throwing shoes at someone was an insult in Muslim culture. I just thought that the dude wanted to hit Bush in the head with a shoe, not that it had some deep meaning to it.
This whole episode proves Bush was right. He said that we'd be greeted with sweets and flowers and if you watch the video carefully you can see that the guy actually throws two shoe-shaped chocolate cakes at Bush.
Ok I had to make a gif too

It's 5.40 AM here in Sunderland, centre of the universe. Later today a parcel containing a pair of my old shoes will leave Sunderland bound for a Washington D.C. address. The idea came to me in a flash and the more I think about it the better it gets. I'm feeling in the middle of a cathartic experience right now, I feel cleansed, like I washed off the eight-year-long relentless shower of shit that was the Bush administration with one act. I've gone postal, so to speak. I really feel refreshed. This really would be an excellent time to eat some mescaline but I have to start work again in eight hours. Shall I eat some? Yes I shall.

Well.I rarely give the chimpanzee credit, but he did slip those shots nicely. Hell of alot better then the Segway incident,or the running over the bobbie incident with his bike,or the just falling off his bike incident,or the pretzel incident
One good thing comes out it ; Guantanamo bays military prison warders will now know where to hang there shoes and socks;Yep off the ears of Iraqi and Taliban terrorists while they sit strapped down listening to Born in the Usa by bruce Springsteen over and fukin over.
Come to think of it ,Id rather be shot than have to listen to that self opinionated bs prat sing.
Bush should think himself lucky he's only been pelted with a pair of shoes. If I was anywhere near him he would have had a pair of Y-fronts on his head.![]()

Yeah if that dude had thrown that shoe at Saddam he would have been tortured and then killed.....then Saddam might have "asked" if anyone else knew of this plot and had them killed too.......I'm not quite sure if "rosey" is the best way to describe that.
Did Bush used to be the p4p champ in boxing before he became president??I mean his head movement is soo sharp that Pacman would find it hard to hit him!!![]()
