I'd also like to see Floyd fight on, or never have retired in the first place and maybe taken another 5 or 6 fights before retiring..

I am not one of those people who always wants a fighter to keep going just one more fight,to prove themselves against the "next" fighter to come along.. or not retire until they lose... As much I used to criticize his attitude outside the ring (because of the fact that a champion as quality as he just doesn't need to act like that) I was in awe of what he could do in the ring..... It's funny that I always wanted a fighter to beat him in most of his fights.. A little because I didn't like his attitude, but mainly because I just wanted to see Floyd's limit.. I wanted to see him pushed to his absolute limit, and possibly beyond... I wanted Floyd to fight on and constantly push himself until him and all his fans found his limit... Many time's he was underrated by some going into fights, and he would just impress so much that you'd wonder how you could ever doubt him... Then the next fight would come up and people could talk about how this new fighter will beat him... He ended his career a cut above everyone else around his weight...
I wanted him to continue on and continue to test himself, if not at 147 but even up to 154... Some fighters don't have the intention of just continually rising the bar until they meet someone tougher, but I believe we never saw the absolute best/peak of Mayweather.. Once he was at the top of his game, we never got to see him really have to dig deep and use every ounce of his heart and skill to beat an opponent who was better than him... I think he was capable of it, and wish that we got to see it of probably the best fighter of my era...

I would love for him to come out of retirement for anything.. Especially if Pac continues on to be a dominant fighter in 2009,,,, but it's pretty clear Mayweather is pretty much done with the game.... He doesn't have that hunger and thirst to find and push his limits, and that's an incredible shame.. Now that it's clear he's pretty intent on staying retired and out of the game, it's an end of an era that I and many others wish could have continued on into even more glorious days...

There was no doubt of his potential, I just wish even with all we saw, that we could have seen more of him...
