He's better than Ivan Calderon. I been following him since 2004 when he lost (I had him winning) a close fight to Nelson Dieppa on the Mike Tyson-Danny Williams undercard. Very underrated fighter. Just a outside the top 10 pound 4 pound.

That knock out of Mayol was sick. He pretty much ruined Mayol. Mayol ain't been the same since

    I disagree with Arum.
Canto had more skills as far as being a boxer.
Whilie Ulises is more of a come forward agressive fighter so I can't agree on the comparison.
I think Mijares is more relatively close to both Canto and Roman.
Solis is more of a "Chuiquita" Gonzalez IMO.

But I just had to do it for this one.

Although the quality didn't turn up as good as I hoped for it's still a quality video. I had this KO in my top 3 for 2007.

I think Calderon beats him. Its an interesting fight.

    Always wanted to see Solis-Cazares.

Looks like it will be Solis-Brian Viloria as the co-feature to Montiel-Donaire. Not sure if that's breaking news.

i think it'll be a difficult fight anyway you put it, but IMO seeing how Calderon was able to deal with the VERY MUCH bigger Cazares, Solis has power and speed, but honestly reminds me a lot of Arce, and let's face it Calderon is the fastest and most technically skilled titleholder in the division, if he fights in spurts and moves around the ring controlling Solis from a distance he'd win the fight by most likely scores of 116-112 or something of that nature

Me too, I though I still think we might get to see it at one point.

I don't. I had Cazares beating Calderon in there first fight. Obviously we know what happened in the rematch. Solis is not the wild swinger Cazares is. He will not swing and miss and be caught of balance like Cazares. He has the style to beat Calderon. Not only that Calderon is 33 years old. And I think he's strarting to show it. I think Solis stops him late

Mayol scored a knock down in that fight. But the ref didn't acknowledge it. Overall, it was a good competitive fight. And Solis was the better fighter.

This is true, Mayol is very underrated IMO.

Appears all set for March 15.I think Solis is going to find Viloria a pretty inviting target for a wide win.

Viloria annoys me, a mini-er Rocky Juarez

Solis shouldn't have too much trouble, even though I'm not sure I rate him as highly as some people do.

I liks solis, he won me over against mayol. I hope he teaches Viloria a good lesson even if it means knocking viloria out. Really Viloria needs a wake up call, his a fighter and he needs to let his goddamn hands go.

If Solis vs Calderon ever happens, I'll go with Calderon. It should be a close interesting match but the safe pick is calderon.

I dont think his underrated, he deserves where he is IMO. Mayol started off 22 and O with 17 knock outs, ever since his first lost in Japan versus Eagle Deng Mayol has been very inconsistent. Losing 3 of his last 6 fights and two by k.o.

Don't agree with you there, carnal. I saw his true colors (bright yellow) when I read his excuse for losing to Hernandez. Read down a little
