Sad sh!t and a strange thing is it usually happens again very close to the first one (within a week or so) but in other waters as if sharks have a linked consoiusness.

I remember the other year we had a few in one spat and some poor chick got ripped apart by a couple of Bulls sharks and everyone just watched her die on the beach, she went out the hardest way ,it leaves you hollow for a long time, like you say after the festive season it hits you harder.
I've noticed that.
Obviously not on a first hand level, there are few dangers in the water here, but I've got some great friends in WA with whom I speak regularly and these attacks appear like the chicken pox, little clusters here and there.

Plenty of sad news during the festive season, Karma I guess.
