you guys are right, but imo pac is way up there talent wise in rapping and acting.
I'd say common is the best actor that raps, but Im not a fan of his when it comes to rapping. Common in Street King is sick!
Ice Cube in Boyz In The Hood and the very first Friday movie.
Tyrese? I didnt know he was a rapperbut he can act.
LL, is a decent actor IMO not great but aight.
Guys, we might not respect him when it comes to rap, but the best, BY FAR, is Will Smith. After that I'd say Mos Def and then Snoop. I was actually surprised by Snoop; I thought he'd always try to play tough, but he got punked in Training Day. But I'd guess the best judge would be to put him in something he'd be pretty foreign to.
50 Cent is a good one and I'll tell you why. At first, you'd say he's kind of stiff, but when you pay attention to how people reallys peak and act, that's it. People don't get all excitable and things like that, we're mostly even keel. That's what makes David Duchovny a great actor but he doesn't get props. It's rare that people truly get excitable about stuff.
Ice Cube and Ice T have always been stiff to me. I never buy them in their roles. LL Cool J is a lot better than he used to be. His first movie was Toys with Robin Williams (the movie was so crappy it's stained in my memory) and he was robotic. But cut to SWAT and Deep Blue Sea and he was a lot better.
I forgot one last. Mekhi Phifer. He was in 8 Mile and Dawn of the Dead. You might say he was only an actor but he actually had a record contract before he acted. I don't know what happened, but the record thing didn't work out but the acting took off. I'd make him #2 after Will Smith. Then Tupac.
Oops
Just remembered Fredo Starr now that KillaFace mentioned Mekhi.
Fredos from Onyx a rap group.
He's acted in HBO show Strapped and in the movie Sunset Park and Save The Last Dance. He also came out in Brandys TV show Moesha.
