Floyd Mayweather defeated Carlos Baldomir for the Welterweight title over 12 sleep-inducing rds. In about rd 9, Lampley, Merchant, and Manny informed the HBO viewers that people were starting to leave the building because it was such a boring fight.

Later at the post-fight press conference, Floyd Mayweather had an emotional breakdown on the dais telling viewers through his tears that Boxing was too strenuous and that he was only going to box one more time and then he'd retire.

    Lampley:
"So, Larry, Floyd Mayweather wins the welterweight championship with a flawless display of self defense, then breaks into tears at the news conference saying that he's under appreciated and vows that he's only going to fight one more time. What's goin' on?"

    Merchant:
"I think he bored himself to tears, Jim."

The man is so gol-durn insensitive. Ignorant. Priceless.

77 year old Larry Merchant's been agitating me since 1984, but I think I'm gonna miss him when he's gone.
For better-or-for-worse, he's part of the Boxing landscape.

Anyone, honestly he is a pain in the ass, he knows nothing about boxing, and he's an arrogant prick. He's my persona on here, but in real life.

And he laughs at every fucking thing he says like as if he is some great intellect, but he comes off as a retarded old fool.

I WILL HAVE NO ILL SPOKEN OF LARRY!

Larry is the fu**ing bomb. Been watching him for 20 years now and he is all the comic relief I need. I love his crazy old ass.

I wish HBO would just film a weekly hour of Larry talking.

You know who else I love to hear crazy sh*t from? Old Iron Mike.

How bout they make a weekly show where Larry and Mike just say wacky sh*t to each other for an hour? It'd be epic.

Larry will be missed when he retires. I disagree with him all the time, some of his commentaries pissed me off to no end with their bias. A true legend.

    LMAO!

This little puzzy was crying because he knew Antonio Margarito was waiting for his arse. Antonio Margarito was the real reason Floyd retired.
