Lou DiBella said they originally picked Lacy over Froch because a) he was an easier fight and b) they can make more money with Lacy. If HBO still aren't interested in Froch after the Pascal fight - i guess nothings changed.
i agree non of my mates would have a clue who he is

Well im English and im not on the Carl Froch bandwagon at all, his defense is alarmingly bad. And his reflexes are certainly not cobra like either, to be fair he did have an injury in the Jean Pascal fight so he wasn't 100 percent.

But i've never been sold on the Carl Froch hype i think he is very beatable, by most of the top Super Middleweights. Although i don't think its his fault in the last 2 years why he hadn't stepped it up quicker. Remember he was gonna face Denis Inkin and he pulled out, he's called out Joe Calzaghe/Jermain Taylor.

So its not like he is afraid to fight the best, but i do think he would get taught a lesson from Jermain Taylor if they fight.
I do like Froch's apparent desire to go up against the best, it's respectable. However, much like Oumafan, I'm sick of all the Froch hype. He's proven very little so far IMO and to imply that a former champ who has fought some of the best fighters in the world would be afraid of him is laughable. He has power, but his lack of defense will be his downfall when he steps up is class.
I personally wouldnt mind seeing froch and taylor square off. I havnt seen much of either fighter to be honest, so i dont know that much about either fighter. But as i see it taylor has been beaten twice by pavlik who is a middleweight and therefore should be more than happy to fight a WBC champion who is unproven.

back in wot day? when he got KTFO by tarver or johnson, beat worst heavyweight champion in hsitory?? just when was back in the day?
Back in the day when he battered Clinton Woods into a bloody stoppage.

Thats pretty much what woulda happend to Calzaghe as well.
Might have taken a lil longer to do, but same result.

I'm not a fan of his...Rates himself higher than his abilities warrant..and I'm British...but then again, I'm a traitor because I'm not a fan of every single Brit boxer to have ever graced this soil

Back in the day when both fighters were at their peak..simple

I love people who think Calzaghe would have had a chance against Roy Jones when they were both super middle...you guys are so sweet...

Out of the 3 names mentioned by Taylor and his camp only 1 is not an old man. Taylor is mandatory contender and it shows where the alphabet mess has got us when it is the No.1 contender deciding who he fights rather than the Champion.

Give Froch a chance I say - If he can't beat the overated Taylor then he just isn't good enough. Let Taylor prove it rather than fighting the shot Roy Jones.
