After he died, I'd read there was some talk of him moving up to face Alexis.

Alexis Arguello did not look very good against Pryor, a much shorter fighter... was it two times? It looked like he was too slow, without reflecting age.
Sanchez with his speed and workrate, would have embarassed Alexis, irregardless that the later was touted then as being the most accurate puncher of the times.

I wonder prime against prime, would Arguello been able to keep up with Sanchez.

Eusebio Pedroza was one guy that Salvador Sanchez should have faced. I'm not sure why it didn't happen. Personally I don't think Pedroza got the credit he deserved. I think he gives Sanchez all he can handle.
