Anyway.. So we're all in agreement that Pac's bottled it. Good.
Seems that way. 60:40 is just silly. If that's Manny's offer then he is a chicken, no doubt.
I'm just joking Miles. We all know it's bollocks boxing shenanigans.. be a shame if they don't fight though
Yes, it would be a shame. Manny has a big army around him and Im sure he seldom chooses his opponent anyway. Its all down to his advisory commitee. They, of course, chew the required labels.

I think this is just Golden Boy whispering in Manny's ear and trying to cause trouble for Arum. Arum is rightly pointing out that Hatton brings a ton of money to the table via UK PPVs but he's also supposedly signed an exclusive deal with Setanta, so there's lots of intrigue here. I expect the fight will be made with an eventual 50/50 split.

Even through Hatton does deserve parity, I would take the fight because I am sure he will beat Pac Man. Manny took a huge risk against ODH which paid off, Hatton's did not against Mayweather. When Hatton wins, he will be the man and can then dictate terms to the next big match probably against Mayweather, and he could even negotiate it at light welter. In short I would take the offer because in the long term it will work in his favour.

I personally think purse splits should have an advantage for the winner. In this case, pay both men 40% of the purse and the winner gets the extra 20%. I know it won't happen but it sure puts something else on the line.

In that case, Floyd would have to settle for less than 50/50 because he would be coming out of retirement and would have been inactive for quite sometime. Pac at that point would definitely have the controlling power. What say does Mayweather get for purse when it would be Mayweather having to chase Pac cause he's the one making all the noise in the boxing world right now.

I honestly don't think Manny is afraid to fight Hatton. Manny always takes big fights. He's in a much higher position for bargaining right now and he's trying to get himself some advantages.

I agree with Pac testing the waters. EVERYONE wants a piece of Manny and Hatton is the one that has to get in line not the other way around.

In my eyes manny is lucky to get offered a 50:50 split.. Hatton definately brings more to the table with a larger fan base, better ppv ratings aswell as a overall better boxing record IMO.

What is mannys options if he doesn't fight Hatton? Mayweather certainly wouldn't settle for a 60:40 purse in favour of manny, infact he'd probably want it the other way around.

If it was possible for Manny to get 30K from the Philippines to come over then yeah maybe but no way, Hatton is going to be the draw simply because he's Hatton 50-50 should be fair but talking money splits in boxing is nauseating.

Fricken Asians they are always bartering for stuff.

Hatton should come back with an offer of a boat load of fish and see what they say to that. yum fish.

I say 40:40 with the other 20 going to the winner should be fair.

Hatton may have a bigger fan base but Pacquiao is sure a close second. It's not like it's one fighter is bringing significantly more to the table. Both offer a great deal when it comes to the financial aspects of the bout.

And your comment about the boxing record, no way Hatton's record is better than Manny's.

There's a reason Hatton-Lazcano was on Versus and not HBO or Show Time. Nobody in the US gives a fukk about Hatton on his own. Hatton is not the bigger draw here. Pac is. Truth be told, I'm shocked Hatton is even in a position to get 40%. He needs to jump on that. Hatton needs Pac. Pac doesn't need Hatton.

prob with that is if it goes to the cards. they could both be decent fellas & fight for a draw then they get 50/50 split

i agree wot people say abt hatton needing the fight more than pacman though, at first i thought bollocks to a 60/40 split but as already said if hatton wins he is the man & can demand 60/40 if there is a rematch

All great points ,but Team Hatton should barter anyway.

Then once all is said and done Ricky should say ok Im only getting 40% you get 40% too and we'll give 20 % to the boxing retirement fund,Or the Phillipino opanage fund if you'd rather that.. "what say ye great man?".

That forces an equal deal, Manny has to conceed publicly cause of his political ambitions; give to one of them or look like a hog and first mental win goes to team Hatton.

    It should be 50-50.
But really boxers should be fighting for Pride & Glory and recently added, for their Nation.
    Not money.
