Default Hatton-Pac in danger - Pac wants 60-40 split

Ricky Hatton's fight with Manny Pacquiao under threat - Telegraph

The question is.. is this a sign that Pac's arsehole has gone?

Was just reading another article mate a few minutes ago and thought exactly the same thing

Cannot see Hatton accepting anything less than 50-50 as it would be a HUGE step backwards in terms of self worth and status.
F*ck Pacman...Ricky and his fans are worth way more than that
Wonder if Pac v Floyd were to be negotiated what % would Pac want then because out of the 3 Hatton is the main crowd puller then Manny then Floyd BUT it's a perfect reversal in terms of who the better (alleged) fighters are with Floyd imo being right at the top.
Boxing is so f*cked up it's unreal
Can see this being a non event!

A 50:50 split sounds right to me. Hatton is a huge draw in the UK and will sell a lot of PPV's. Pac might have just had his big win, but the fight will be at 140 and Hatton is top dog there. 50:50 is fair. Pac will be challenging Hatton and not the other way round.

60:40 is probably what Manny's advisors are feeding him. It would be silly for Hatton to take such an offer. And if Pac doesnt take 50:50 then what does he have? The possibility of Mayweather coming back in time to face him?

The fight makes sense for both guys and with such big money at stake its pointless to squabble over the percentages like this. Just be gentlemen and split it.

Exactly and ti's too big a fight to not happen and would be criminal if we never saw them both fight!
Dunno if Pac fears Hatton so much...more a case of Pac thinking he's the bigger draw.
You really can't split them at all apart from Ricky edging it purely on fanbase and the army that follow him time and time again.
They are both multi millionaires for fucksakes so 50-50 is the only way this will happen imo.

I'm sorry to be the odd man out, but I think 60-40 in Pac's favour is about right.

He's p4p, he's just had a sensational victory over DLH. Hatton hasn't done much at all since beating Tszyu and Castillo.

And let's not forget it'll be 40% of probably a bigger pot than what was on offer for the Mayweather fight.

I think Hatton will beat Manny comfortably, but I certainly believe he should be on the small end of the money...

Your right in terms of Pac being P4P (active) # 1 but this is boxing politics rearing it's annoying head and like i said is all coming down to self worth and Status.
But i agree that in a perfect world Pac should edge it and get a slightly bigger cut but boxing is far from perfect behind the scenes.
    Ego clash anyone?

I don't know what Pac's team are thinking. Do they really think a fight with Mayweather could firstly generate much more than this fight and secondly, that Floyd would agree a 50:50 split to fight Manny?

I can only assume Pacs team are testing waters. To pass up on a great fight against the main man at 140, just because he made a bit against the Orange Satan would be a bit silly! I wouldnt have thought it a particularly difficult fight to hammer out. Im sure Manny is up for the fight no matter what. Its the people in his entourage/advisory commitee complicating things.

I would have thought Hatton brought the lions share of money to the gig. Certainly in fan numbers.

Is Pac gonna sell more PPV than Hatton in the States? Considering his numbers pre Oscar, I wouldn't have thought he brings that much

Anyway.. So we're all in agreement that Pac's bottled it. Good.

Seems that way. 60:40 is just silly. If that's Manny's offer then he is a chicken, no doubt.

Pac's just testing the waters I think. He has more options than Hatton since he can go back to lightweight as well. Probably thinks Hatton needs him more than the other way round.

Yes, it would be a shame. Manny has a big army around him and Im sure he seldom chooses his opponent anyway. Its all down to his advisory commitee. They, of course, chew the required labels.
