Benn is one of my all time favourite fighters, but I always felt both Benn & Eubank would lose to Nunn, Toney, Jones Jnr, & McCallum - but then Benn went and beat McClellan - go figure

Michael Nunn just before the Sumbu Kalambay fight, would of flattened our boys no problem. A non lazy James Toney would as would Mike McCallum, prime RJJ. Your pretty much right there.

I still think McClellan would have done Ben in the first had it not been in my back yard, the East End.

Benn staged one of the most amazing comebacks I've seen but the French ref really helped him out of that first round. Allowed him to contantly duck below the waistline, wouldn't let McClellan at Benn to finish him off etc.

I too was also bought up on Benn and Eubank...didn't know any other fighters existed Kinda reminds me of most of us Brits now lol

Nigel Benn had that crossover appeal while Eubank was always abit of an enigma - more known by name rather like Darius M.

Benn gained respect for his style of fighting and because he fought in the States. I always remember him having pretty good coverage and a reputation from the US boxing magazines.
