Have to say,In my morning dealings it is like Christmas morning around here.People in general are really optimistic and looking ahead and yes, their are a few that have a bitter bite to them with the outcome.I have reservations as it pertains to Obama's experience and willingness to commit to some hard choices but the Citizens have spoken.......He's our President and I respect him as such.He will be watched very closely by many and be called to the floor when he fawks up.If any thing Government should fear the people, not the other way around.
We need to get our shit in order here in the States,we have a mess economically, internationally and frankly need to stop looking back wards, finger pointing, and move forward.Also....I think that was the real McCain last night in that speech,The GOP got to him after 2000,and I think he got away from his individuality,Independent nature. He showed class last night.
And can we officially call the Palin 15 minutes as over. She is a fukking human comic strip, carry your arse back to Alaska.
Well done Barack but i have to say, all this talk of the first black president is bollocks.
Has no one seen Deep Impact?
Well good for the US! Now we can call all the other Western Countries racists if they have anything bad to say about America....this won't get boring after 4-8 years....not for me![]()
They should never have had the tax breaks that they have had in the first place. Mr Bush financed the tax cuts to the wealthy by issuing government bonds and running the country into a huge deficit. This will just help correct the situation, sure the economy needs expansionary policy in times of depression. But expansionary policy didn't stop it from going into one, both fiscal and monetary policy in America seems to be going fucking sideways. Drastic things need to happen in the country, not to mention the fed reserve needs to build some credibility and some public agenda's to keep the confidence levels from plunging.
We know exactly where it's going. A new global currency is on the table. Nov. 15th is the meeting to hammer out the details. Watch and see.....
The problem is we don't have sound money. Money is the root of the whole thing. We have interest on every dollar printed and it can never be repaid. It's impossible. But we always argue over policies. Do some research on the federal reserve and fractional reserve banking. You'll see. The bankers run the show. They put people in office. Bush set it up and distant cousin Obama is gonna knockem down.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
People say, 'can you really imagine the United States of America having a black President?'
And I say, 'why not? They just had a retarded one.'
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
I've had enough of people bashing George W. Bush.....being tired of the President after 8 years is the NORM and not the exception. Look at when Clinton was on the way out, lots of people didn't like him and they were tired of his antics and I am sure Obama will find out that he won't always get a free pass just because he's black and he can spout off nonsensical bull crap about hope and change.
George W. Bush wasn't a great President but he wasn't the worst either and I say that seriously. He did what he thought was right at the time looking back it doesn't seem like a great idea but other Presidents have done worse: Bay of Pigs, Gulf of Tonkin, Somalia, the USS Cole, the Maine, Whiskey Rebellion, Internment camps for the Japanese.....etc etc etc.
Lyle, what's your main gripe with the way Clinton handled the Somalia issue in the 90s?
