He also said Riddick Bowe was the 2nd bravest Heavyweight of all time, next to Muhammad Ali what a load of crap that was. I never really liked George Foreman as a commentator.

I actually liked Big George as a commentator, you just had to excuse his occasional ridiculous comments.

when ring magazine run an article on the big four heavys-holyfield, bowe, lewis, ruddock - big george was the only expert(make your own mind up abt that) that said that Lennox was the best, and there must of been 20 experts. this was before lewis destroyed ruddock.

Well in the end Lennox turned out to be the best....In the early to mid 90's up until he fought Holyfield there was a question mark on him.....After that he just ran the division.....

Or when he was saying that Hopkins should stop hitting Trinidad so much, because he'd end up getting tired

LOL, A joke obviously. Foreman was a funny guy, I like him as a commentator. He didn't let his ego get in the way like some others. Obviously some of his comments needed to be taken with a grain of salt.

There's usually a method to Foreman's madness. It's just his way of making a point. e.g. the way Hopkins was dominating Trinidad, getting tired was one of the bigger risks. I'm not sure what Bowe was doing that got George's attention, but the Ali courage remark was obviusly a reference to Ali doing the rope-a-dope in Zaire. That took quite a bit of balls I would say.
